It's Okay That I'm Mad

Rita Skeeter was what you expected from a Slytherin, at least she pretended to be around her family and people who expected her to. Since she was two she was arranged to marry Evan Rosier, both were parts of powerful families. When they both started Hogwarts they were best friends, it was better than hating the person you were supposed to marry. She could be herself around Evan and he helped her find her love of writing. They looked more like siblings than people who were meant to be married, both had light blonde hair though Rita's was a little brighter and Evan was a little tanner. They loved eachother, platonically. Evan had never once been interested in a girl, and Rita had only been interested in girls.

Bellatrix Black was a Black and certainly acted like it, by the time she was five she was cold and emotionless except for when she was taking care of her sisters. Rodolphus Lestrange was her boyfriend before they knew what the word meant, and they were to be married on Bellatrix's seventeenth birthday. She figured that love was supposed to feel like nothing, and that's exactly what she felt with Rodolphus.

Now on September first 1970 Bellatrix was boarding the Hogwarts express for her first year at Hogwarts. She walked with Sirius who was practically her twin, they looked almost identical and her birthday was only a few hours before his. She would never admit that she cared about him even if they both raised they're younger siblings and eachother.

Rita was colder than before, even physically as she guided Evan to the back of the train. They sat with another boy they learned was Barty Crouch's son who had the same name. She slowly warmed up again once he talked about how he hated the idea of marrying a woman. "If anything marrying a woman would be better than marrying a man." Rita shrugged, happy to see her best friend finding other people to talk to.
