Edward and Henry returned the car and were relieved to find Bea and Annia waiting. Edward was holding onto Henry's good arm, for added stability, when Annia ran up to him and hugged his legs. "There's my precious girl. I missed you heaps and heaps," he said. The girl gladly took Quail's leash, and Edward was grateful to have one less body to juggle.
"What's going on. Why does dad look pale?"
"He's having a medical emergency, we need to get him to our doctor friend. I'll tell you the story when we get back to the boat." They weren't far from the harbor and Henry was relieved that they had docked the boat, instead of using the paddle boards, to get to shore.
Edward helped Henry lay down on a couch in the living area. "Bea, stay with him, while I get us to Flores. Keep Annia close by." Bea nodded, and Edward added, "and remove all batteries from anything with a satellite feed."
Bea went from room to room and removed the batteries and then poured a glass of water and handed it to her father, who took a sip. "Alright dad, what's going on?"
"You don't want to know, Honey Bea."
"Sounds like you don't want to tell me."
"You were right, I shouldn't have stayed in Atlantis."
"Go on."
"I didn't know anyone there, until I saw Blake. He was surprised to see me, but it seems he wasn't as happy as I thought. Blake shot me."
"What!?"
"I just happened to bend over- he hit my shoulder, instead of my chest."
"Where is Blake, now?"
"Don't know."
"So what you are saying is that there's a trained assassin trying to kill you, and now we are all in danger."
"Maybe not."
"Atlantis is bad," Annia chided.
"You're right, Annie. I'm sorry," Henry responded.
"You better be," Beatrice added.
Edward called down from the cockpit, "the doctor knows we are coming."
"So, are we going to bring danger to his doorstep? Maybe, he can meet us in a hotel."
"He said a hotel would only endanger more people."
"Can he come to the boat?"
"He wants to be near his equipment. He said to come. We have no reason to think that Blake followed us, and I'm taking precautions. Get those batteries, out so that I can change course and head for Flores."
"They're out."
Edward changed direction hoping that if they were being watched, he had led Blake off course.
