Fanny's P.O.V:

I lie in my bed having a bit of a nap when Bubble knocks on the door and comes in waking me up. After that we drove over to what looks to be an animal shelter.

Fanny: What are we doing here?

Bubble: We're getting you a pet. I figured since they can be very caring, a suitable pet would be good for you.

We head inside and meet with the person at the front desk. I mostly sat on one of the waiting seats well... waiting, while playing a game on my phone the lady at the front desk then opens the door to the pens and grabs my attention.

Front Desk Lady: The kennels are right this way. Go on in and pick your furry friend out.

I walk in through the hallway of dog kennels to see my selection when one has actually caught my eye, a massive black and brown muscular dog stands alert in the corner of his cage with his matted hair standing on ends. I recognize the breed and step closer to get a better look when the canine lunges at me barking.

Tibetan Mastiff: BARK BARK BARK BARK!!!

In shock I jumped back falling onto my rear. The dog still barks and snarls through the chain link fence keeping him from maiming me, but I wasn't going to let my fear show, at an impulse I quickly stood up and growled back at him.

Fanny: GGGRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Tibetan Mastiff: ...

Tibetan Mastiff: *whine* *whimper*

The dog sits back down still with his fur standing but and closer inspection I notice scars, a lot of them all over his body and weren't from natural injuries. This dog has been in a lot of scandals, I look to his face to see the fearful look in his now teary eyes giving a reflection of myself. I take a deep breath and kneel down closer to him making him flinch a little and slowly reach my tail through the bars.

Fanny: Uhh... there... there....? C'mon, I won't hurt you.

Tibetan Mastiff: ......

I turn on my blades to a gentle setting and blow his way, the dog senses the breeze I'm creating and nudges his face closer embracing the wind in his now smoothed fur. While he was occupied with my cooling breeze I carefully place my tail over his back and try petting before he suddenly jumps at the first stroke.

Tibetan Mastiff: Rrug-!??!

Fanny: You've... never even been petted before have you...? Whatever your first owner did to you... I hate them for it.

I use the keys the lady gave me earlier to open his cage and step back watching him slowly make his way out of his pen. I then sit down still as possible so he could approach me and starts sniffing to know my scent. My blades to spun as he likes the breeze (plus staying still isn't my strong suit) and eventually he sits beside me blinking his eyes panting, it looks like he's finally calmed down.

Fanny: Good boy.

Normal P.O.V:

Bubble and the front desk lady continue to chat about the adoption until Fanny walks out with the now quiet rottweiler. The lady jumps a bit before noticing how the dog was now behaving somewhat differently, no growling, no barking, he was totally quite.

Front desk lady: Yes all our dogs are available... OH-!

Bubble: Oh, uh this is your choice Fanny?

Fanny: Yes, unless there's a problem with that...

Fanny glares at the lady from the front desk knowing how was originally going to react. She calms down and starts to speak calmy again.

Front desk lady: Are you sure this is the dog for you? We um have had some problems with his reactions with most new people.

Bubble: I-is he violent or something?

Front desk lady: Not necessarily, we don't take in violent animals but we do take in rescues from raided... underground dog fights to rehabilitate them.

Fanny: I knew it....

Front desk lady: I'm sorry but for a first time owner I don't think he's for you just yet, he hasn't even fully recovered from the trauma-

Fanny: And that makes it all the more reason for me to take him. He was abused, neglected unloved even. All dogs are innocent he loved whoever first raised him, trusted them and that hateful jerk took advantage of that trust like it was worth NOTHING! *sigh* Nobody understands his broken heart more, than someone whose went through the same thing....

Bubble & Front desk lady: ....

Fanny: I need him, and he needs me...

Shortly after further discussion the lady working the shelter gets to work on Fanny's adoption certificate.

Front desk lady: You'll have to think of a name for him.

Fanny: Bear.

Front desk lady: Bear it is then. That'll be a 15 dollar license fee.

Bubble reaches into her wallet when Fanny stops her and pays for Bear herself. After that the stamp has been placed making Fanny's ownership of Bear official.

Fanny: I got it Bubble.

Front desk lady: He's all yours.

Fanny: C'mere Bear, you're coming home with me now.

Bubble and Fanny now with Bear get back into the car to bring their new friend home.
