23. Inayat

After spending an entire evening of celebrating our friend's happiness and a new beginning of her life , we all walk back upstairs . All girls except obviously for Zara are gonna sleep in the same room .

"I'm not going to sleep on the couch " shru mumbles as we all laugh . Ishani has her heels in one hand and most of the fabric of her saree in the other one . She looks like she's gonna collapse anytime soon .

Crystal jumps excitedly"How about a horror movie "

"No , please " Ishani mumbles . She's the biggest scardy cat .

"Yes please " I chuckle.

Shru adds "How about truth or dare"

"Sounds fun " I speak and place my hand on the door knob but my spine jerks straight when someone yells from the inside.

"You can't beat me motherfucker"

"Zain " Crystal speaks looking at me .

"How about this " kavish speaks louder .

"What the fuck are they doing in our room " shruti pushes the door open and we all freeze .

There is no bed or couch in the room and the floor is covered with mattress . So many pillows and blankets are lying in a corner while Zain and kavish are fighting with a pillow.

"What the fuck " shru whispers for only us to hear . In another corner kiaan and Ivaan are lying on a mattress. The former is busy with his phone while the latter is laughing at Zain and kavish . Shivay is sitting in a corner carefully looking at the scene while abhimanyu is far asleep . At least that's what I think .

"RUN!! " kainat tells Crystal who sprints away as soon as she sees her brother .

"What are you guys doing here . This is our sleeping place so get out " I declare .

"We thought you all will get scared if you watch them alone " abhimanyu speaks showing me horror movie DVDs. So he was not sleeping.

"Did you think that too ? Kiaan ?" I question as ishani strolls inside , throws her heels in a corner and falls on a mattress.

"Wake me up when all this is sorted ."She speaks covering herself in a blanket .

"Nope" he speaks and it's strange how he can bicker so much with ishani but has just a single word of response when anyone else talks.
"Then ? Can you leave " shru speaks .

He turns his gaze from ishani to shruti and voices "nope " and again begins scrolling through his phone.

"Ughh" kai walks away while after a very long discussion we finnally accept that we won't be able to make them leave no matter how much we try .

When all of us go to random room to change I find Zain's room .
When the door opens, I find my very big sized photo above the headboard of his bed on the back wall .

"Why do you have to do things like this " I mumble walking towards the bathroom but on my way my knee hits a small table .

"Shit" I whine rubbing my knee and my eyes land at a box of coconut candies kept on the table.

When I walk inside the bathroom , I'm shocked to find a photo on mine even in his shower "you've got to be kidding me " I chuckle and then wash my face .

After I change into some comfy night clothes , I walk out to find him sitting on his bed with a photo frame in his hand.
The photo we once took at the candy shop .

"What are you doing here " I ask and he gets up and holds my hand .

"Come here " he makes me sit on the bed and kneels down in front of me .

"I'm sorry Inayat , I am really really sorry, I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me the most , I'm sorry for not understanding you , I'm sorry for being so selfish, I'm sorry for making you cry and I'm sorry for leaving you alone , I'm sorry for walking away but there was not even a single second that I didn't think of you. The most horrible night in my life was when I saw your photo in which you kissed him. I know I deserved all of that but you've punished me enough. Please come back "

I smile and he keeps looking at me with that hope before I speak "I--I will not lie , I've thought of you every single day and I've missed you Zain . You are my life "

A smile comes upon his lips and I cup his face "but you've hurt me " I place a hand on my heart as a tear slides down my cheek " it hurts, it has been hurting for a year . Every day , every minute, every second . Whenever I wished you to be there by my side . You never were "

"I am sorry " he places his head on my knees .

"I will make it alright , I promise "

"Where is Inayat " kainat voices from outside and I immideatly get up and rush out of the room.

"We are going to watch a movie after a game of truth or dare , that's final " Crystal speaks and its really shocking that she's speaking so much when kiaan is here but I'm sure this has something to do with ishani .

After a lot of turns the bottle finnally stops at me . I freeze and it's shruti who questions
"Do you love him" she points a finger at Zain . I saw it coming .

"Speak the truth" kainat adds.

I sigh and speak without looking at anyone " I do "

Zain's eyes lit up with happiness after so much time . It hurts to see him cry even if it's for me so finnaly I'm glad that he feels happy.

"Ooooooohhh" everyone except kiaan and shivay speaks and I spin the bottle which stops at him now.

"Woah ! " Crystal jumps in excitement while Zain scratches the back of his neck . I can see him blushing.

"I'll pick dare " he voices .

Shruti gets up "Okay , you have to confess your feelings to anyone you want to okay ? Right here right now."

Crystal takes a flower from a vase and gives it to him . My heart is literally gonna blast .

He bends his knee and looks at me with a smile. My cheeks hurt .

This is happening, this is happening.

" I really really am sorry for all my mistakes and I love you coco . You mean the world to me . Please give me another chance "

" ohh my God " shru is really about to cry while I am the one who should cry .

I accept the flower and nod "I love you too Zain , walk away again and I'll break you legs " I chuckle and he laughs too before hugging me.

"Never ever " he lifts me from the ground with his arms wrapped around me .

"I so wish someone does that for me " ishani speaks with a puppy face while kiaan turns to look at her for a moment  as if he is thinking something and then focuses back on his phone .

"And I didn't kiss her " kavish voices while Zain looks all confused .

"It was me " kai speaks showcasing her hair and finnaly he understands .

"What a relief " he whispers and I giggle .
