The new nanny!

This morning there is chaos at the cliff house. Steffy and Finn have to go to work soon. Finn sits with Hayes at the kitchen table and tries hard to feed him. However, Hayes has more fun playing with his porridge and throwing it around than to eat it. Steffy, meanwhile, is busy with Kelly. The girl just can't decide which dress she wants to wear. After Steffy finally convinces her daughter to put on the new blue dress, she sighs in relief. But she rejoiced too soon. Because now Kelly explains to her in detail how Steffy should do her hair. Steffy surrenders to her fate. Finally Kelly is ready for school.

"Where did you get this vanity lately?" she asks her daughter, irritated, as the two sit down at the breakfast table with Finn and Hayes. "You shouldn't even start that at your age!"

"But Mommy, it always takes you hours to get ready and you always say 'a lady can't look good enough'!" Finn bursts out laughing, while Steffy rolls her eyes. As Kelly munches on her breakfast toast, she glances at her parents.

"Where's Amelia anyway? Amelia is supposed to come and make me my school lunch!"

"Yeah, I don't know either!" Steffy glares at her watch in irritation. "Normally she should be here by now! I'm sure she'll be here any minute, she's probably stuck in traffic again!" But breakfast passes and Amelia still doesn't show up. Kelly grumbles as Finn prepares her school lunch. He claims either she'll settle for that or she won't have anything to eat at school. That's when Steffy's cell phone rings.

"Ah, it's Amelia!" Steffy impatiently picks up the phone.

"Amelia finally, where are you?" She moves away from the others to make her phone call in peace. After she finishes her call, she returns with a worried and destressed face. Finn immediately notices something is wrong.

"What's wrong honey?"

"Amelia had an accident, she's in the hospital!"

"Oh my God! How bad is it?"

"The doctors don't know yet."

"Okay, later before my shift I'll go check on her."

"The only question is, what do we do with the kids? Who's going to take care of Hayes and who's going to pick up Kelly from school?"

"I can't!" declares Finn firmly. "We already have three colleagues sick, so if I won't be there, the others will go crazy!" Steffy thinks hard. At the moment, they have their hands full at Forrester Creation, so she couldn't get loose. Then an idea crosses her mind.

"I call Mom and see if she will help us out." Steffy goes away again to call Taylor. A short time later, she returns, relieved.

"All right, Hayes and Kelly listen up, today your grandma is taking care of you!" Both kids smile and cheer. Finn gets ready.

"Fine, I've got to go now!" He gives both kids another kiss and Steffy a hug. "Take care everyone!"

"You too and don't forget to check on Amelia and tell her all the best!"

"Sure!"

Later, Taylor appears at Steffy and the children.

"Mom, thank god you're here! Thanks for filling in today!"

"No problem, I don't have any appointments for today or tomorrow, so I'm happy to take care of the kids. What's going on with Amelia?"

"She doesn't know yet, she was in a car accident. Finn wants to check on her later."

"Well hopefully she'll be better soon!"

Steffy leaves the house with Kelly, first takes her to school and then drives to work.

Taylor enjoys a relaxing morning with Hayes. At noon, she picks Kelly up from school. Since the weather is nice, she takes both kids to the playground. While Kelly is playing in the jungle gym, Taylor enthusiastically takes pictures and videos. Back home, Hayes falls asleep exhausted and Taylor sits down with Kelly helping her with her homework. She's just about to make Kelly a sandwich when Steffy comes home tired. She sinks down on the couch, exhausted. Without much ado, Taylor makes another sandwich and puts it in front of her daughter. The latter gives her a big kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks Mom, what would I do without you!" Together, Steffy and Kelly munch on their snacks while Kelly tells her mom everything about her day.

At night, Finn comes home with bad news. Amelia has broken both legs and suffered other injuries as well. She is doing quite well under the circumstances, but she will certainly fall out for a long time. Kelly is very sad when she hears about the bad condition her nanny is in, but Steffy and Finn reassure her that Amelia will surely be better soon.

After both children are in bed, Finn and Steffy consult with Taylor what they should do now.

"For the next few days I can support you, but in the long run you might want to look for a replacement." Steffy nods.

"I'll take care of it tomorrow!"

So the next day, Steffy contacts a few agencies and explains her difficult situation.

Over the next few days, she and Finn look through the numerous applications and have several interviews with potential candidates. Finally, they hire a young girl named Meredith. She has good references and they both like her from the first moment. She also bonds immediately with the two children. Steffy is relieved that Hayes and Kelly accept Meredith so easily.

A few days later when Steffy comes home, Meredith is tinkering a photo collage together with Kelly. It's meant to be a get-well gift for Amelia. Meredith packs up the rest of the pictures, when her eyes fall on a family portrait from Christmas.

"Who is this woman?" she asks curiously. Steffy looks at the image and her expression darkens.

"Ah, that's no one!" she replies harsh. "That woman no longer plays a role in our lives and hopefully she never will again!"

"Oh sorry!" stutters Meredith sheepishly. "I didn't mean to upset you!"

"It's okay!" deflects Steffy. "It's not like you could know. But that woman, Sheila Carter, is the devil in person! She terrorized our family for decades and brought nothing but pain and misery! But thank God she is finally where she belongs! Behind bars!"

"I see!"

As Steffy is distracted, Meredith looks at the picture again and secretly puts it in her pocket.

Later at home, Meredith sits down at her notebook and types the name 'Sheila Carter' into the search engines. She comes across some articles, which she reads, interested.
