"And now he wonders the woods calling, Rufus? Rufus? Looking for his lost dog," He whispered.

"Kyle that wasn't even scar-".

"BOO!" John screamed in Amelia's ear, "oh my god Amelia! You scream like a girl!"

"That's because I am a girl!", Amelia yelled, "and you guys need to learn new stories, we've heard that story at camp about a billion times."

"Whatever, you looked pretty scared to me", Mal said earning some laughs from the others.

"I wasn't scared!" Amelia adding, "I was startled".

"Yeah yeah, whatever you say, princess." Kyle half heartily responded, changing the subject, "so who wants to play done games?" Everyone started to argue over which board game we should play first, or who was red and who was green when Sam broke in.

"Guys, this is stupid", he said loudly catching everyone's attention, " we're going to be in high school next year and were still play board games in Kate's tree house."

"I don't see how it's stupid," Kate responded quietly.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Kyle said at the same time. Everybody went quiet, no one knew what to say. "Okay how about we take a vote?"

"A vote? What's to vote on?" Amelia asked.

"Well, whether or not to continue our club thing," Kyle said back. Everyone started talking at one. All of them arguing over why they should keep the club, others saying it was stupid and they should quit.

"We're getting too old for this guys, we're almost freshman! We can't keep playing in a tree house forever", Sam input loudly.

"But guys, we've always done this. Almost every night that we could-" Mal started.

"-Yeah, I mean you guys are my only friends, what if we quit this and you guys forget about me?" Kate asked.

"Aah, Kate, we would never forget about you, stopping the club wouldn't mean we couldn't be friends", Amelia confirmed to Kate.

"But we wouldn't-" Kate started.

"Of course we would Kate, there's no way-" Sam started but was cut off by Kate.

"No. We wouldn't." Kate stopped for a second and took a deep breath before continuing, "I know that you all see me as the quiet one, that you don't pay attention to me and all. So, I don't know, if we stop this club then I won't have any more friends. You'll all leave, it's inevitable", she concluded. Everyone was silent, and why wouldn't they be. They were all just told off for being bad friends, anyone wouldn't be able to find their words after that.

"Kate you're right, but this" Kyle motioned to the tree house, 'needs to stop, being in the tree house. Maybe we can hang out at the mall or in a house like teenagers do, right?" Everyone started to agree on that, Kate half heartily agreed. "So what do we do as our last time in the tree house? Any ideas?"

"Let's be kids!" Mal shouted. Everyone looked confused. "You know, we could go outside and play hid and seek."

"Really Mal?" Amelia asked.

"Yeah, why not be the biggest kids we can for one more night?" Mal stated. Everyone seemed to agree. So they all went down the ladder to the ground below. Everyone voted for Mal to be it since it was her idea. So everyone started to hide. Mal was up to 15 when it started. The meteor shower was supposed to be tomorrow, but it came early. Everyone stopped to watch it, even Mal. Then it happened, one of the meteors hit earth. Right next to Kate.

All the kids ran to where it landed. Sam was the last to get there. He asked if everyone was okay, they all mumbled yeah. Everyone was staring at what landed. It was a perfect red sphere. They all stood still for a long time. Then Kate started towards it.
