The bright lights of the boardwalk, the smell of popcorn, pretzels and sweet candies was pure heaven to the tourist that visit every summer. The wind blew slightly through the tall wild blonde hair of Paul one of "The lost boys" of Santa Carla. Paul looked down at the little brunette braided hair of his sister Maddie. Dwayne had done a nice job on her hair it stayed in place through a couple of rides
Paul smiled at the five year old girl he called his baby sister. She held her big brothers hand tightly as they walked through the boardwalk that was closing down in about half an hour. He had promised her cotton candy if she had been good through out the night. Which she had been. Maddie was hardly ever trouble, only when she got tired she begun to get fussy at times. But what five year old can walk around all night and not get tired. Her legs did not move as fast as her brothers and sometimes she was running trying to keep up with them.
It is around midnight and the boardwalk would be closing soon. Paul knew his sister was getting tired as her steps were getting smaller and slower behind him. He had thrown away the rest of her cotton candy. He turned to the tired little girl picked her up as she put her head on his shoulder. She snuggled into him to get some warmth from the chilly summer night air. He smiled as she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck as he walked towards his brothers. The three other boys looked at the wild blonde holding their baby sister and smiled knowing she would sleep good tonight. At least one of the boys would sleep with her every night because of the girls fear of the dark, which confused the boys considering they were creatures of the night.
The leader of their little gang, David the platinum blonde with gloved hands took Maddie from his brothers arms and made sure she was secure in his arms before he stared his bike. The sleeping girl did not move an inch when the loud bike had started. David smirked while looking at Paul, "was she good"? Paul nodded, perfect as ever he responded with a sly smile across his face. The Native American vampire just looked at his baby sister lovingly. She was truly a good kid. She was never any trouble for them like Max had thought. The youngest vampire had taken off his patched jacket and put it on his sister to keep her warm on the ride home. The girl had him wrapped around her finger and he knew it, he would do anything for Maddie.
They let Paul go feed, when he was done it was time to go back to the cave. The ride home was a bit slower than it usually was because of the small sleeping child. The human girl surprisingly liked the dangerous rides. throughout the ride Maddie did not move a muscle the boys knew she was tired, she had went to sleep late that day and stayed up most of the night, and that is rough on a five year old. The boys parked their bikes hidden in the woods and walked to the edge of the cliff over Hudson Bluff. David gathered the young girl in his arms and walked down the old wooden steps avoiding all the danger and warning signs leading to the cave. Through the cave and to an elevator shaft with a bed below where Maddie slept. David sat the sleeping girl down on her bed and pulled the blankets on top of her. It got real cold in the cave and the human girl liked a lot of blankets to keep her warm while she slept.
Tonight was Marko's turn to lay with Maddie. The boys flew up to the pole that they slept on while Marko slowly climbed into the bed with his sister.

Marko's POV
Marko! Huh? what's up I asked being woken up abruptly. I looked around and saw Maddie sitting up by my face, she had tears streaming down her cheeks. I sat up quickly probably scaring her a little bit. Hey what's wrong sister I said sitting up pulling her into my chest, she was cold so I wrapped in one of the many blankets on the bed. She sniffled and mumbled into my shoulder that she had a nightmare and that she couldn't get me awake. Oh sissy I'm okay, you know I'm a heavy sleeper. I would never leave you alone I promise. She nodded her tiny head and cuddled into my shoulder as I lay back down onto her bed. The sun would go down in a couple of hours and I know she needs a little more sleep. There was no telling how long she had been up crying for me and the others.
I took her hair out of the braids and started playing with it. It relaxed her enough to finally fall back asleep. I kissed her head and fell back asleep myself.
Chapter one, If this looks exactly like another story on here it because it is. I was given the opurtunity to finish this story of hers so i will make some minor changes as we go along. enjoy!
