Kid Flash scored the winning goal and beat Aqualad at holographic air hockey again when the computer announced Superboy's arrival.

"Recognized. Superboy:B04." The Zeta tubes lit up and Superboy walked into the lounge.

"Hi Superboy," Megan greeted. "How was Metropolis?" Instead of answering he just kept walking. Someone cleared their throat and the team turned to see Black Canary and Martian Manhunter.

"Ready for training everyone?" Black Canary asked.

"Black Canary," Megan stated. "Uncle J'onn!" and she ran over to give him a hug while BC talked with Spitfire.

"Megan," MM greeted. "I was in the neighborhood so I thought I'd see how you were adjusting."

"A few bumps," Megan admitted. "But I'm learning." Superboy turned to leave.

"That is all I can ask," said MM.

"Stick around," BC told Superboy. "Class is in session." Superboy stopped and turned, crossing his arm. Black Canary walked towards the center of the briefing station and the floor lit up.

"I consider it an honor to be your teacher," she told everyone. "I'll throw a lot at you. Everything I've learned from my mentor..." She hesitated as she took off her jacket and turned her bandaged arm the wrong way. "...And my own bruises."

"What happened?" Megan asked concerned.

"The job," she answered simply. "Now, combat is about controlling conflict. Putting the battle on your terms. You should always be acting, never reacting. I'll need a sparring partner," she requested.

"Right here, yeah,"said KF raising his hand and chewing on his banana and walking forward. "After this. Swish," he said tossing his peel away. "I'll show you my moves." BC smiled and nodded before aiming a punch at his head, and while he blocked it, bent down and kicked his legs out from under him. He fell backwards and a circle lit up under him. Kid Flash fail, a holographic sign said. KF groaned.

"Hurts so good," he gasped. Spitfire laughed and applauded.

"Ooh I like her," she said clapping.

"It's about time someone flipped him," Blaze mumbled to Robin. "I'm just sorry it wasn't me."

"Good block," said Black Canary helping him up. "But did anyone see what he did wrong?"

"Ooh," said Robin. "He hit on teacher and got served." Blaze and Spitfire snickered.

"Dude," KF whined.

"He allows me to dictate the terms off..."

"Oh please," said Superboy interrupting her. "With my powers the battles always on my terms. I'm a living weapon, and this is a waste of my time."

"Prove it," said Black Canary smirking. Superboy raised an eyebrow but said nothing as he walked to her. They got in battle stances and Superboy threw a punch at here but she dodged, grabbed his arm, and flipped him. Robin laughed pointing at him and Blaze covered pushed her hand over his mouth, muffling the chuckles. Superboy got up and growled.

"Your angry, good," said BC. "Don't react, channel that anger..." but then Superboy charged at her again. He tried to punch her but she backflip led over him and kicked the legs out from under him. Robin tried to laugh again but Blaze pressed her hand down harder. She felt his lips pucker against her palm.
