'I swear to god if it turns out you're a creep and are about to kidnap me-'

'Why would I do that?' grinned the man mischievously. Jeonghan shrugged as he followed him in the village through the small alleys. It really looked like the other knew the place pretty well. As if he spent a lot of time with sneaking around trying not to get caught.

'It's not kidnapping, you were the one who asked me to take you here' he reminded. Jeonghan glared at him.

'I didn't directly say take me to an alley...'

The other suddenly turned around, making Jeonghan almost crash into him, and put his index finger on Jeonghan's lips, shushing him. Jeonghan's eyes widened, then a second later the boy grabbed his hand and pulled him with himself. The blonde felt butterflies in his tummy, his brain still trying to progress what happened. He hoped his palm isn't sweaty.

The other boy slowed down when they reached a crossroads and peeked out from between the houses. Jeonghan followed his example.

'Oh, I know this place' he whispered. They were next to the bakery. Then they heard voices.

'I just arrived. The prince sent us on a mission. What happened here?' asked a boy. Another one answered.

'Key's soldiers! They just barged into the village and made this chaos! They stole from the displays and destroyed whatever came in their way!'

Jeonghan recognized the two voices and a second later he spotted the brunette and the strawberry blonde boys he met the day before. And seemingly the other man knew them too as he was muttering something under his breath. Jeonghan managed to catch the name Seungkwan from his words.

'You know him?' he asked. The boy nodded.

'He is... one of the royal guards' he explained. Jeonghan nodded, a bit surprised by the information.

'Look at the chaos the soldiers made' said the other and pulled Jeonghan next to him to be able to see better. Displays were flipped on the street, vegetables and pastries rolled on the ground, and even some windows got broken.

'So this is how they are rivaling' muttered Jeonghan.

'I told you. It just keeps getting worse' said the other. Both of them stepped back in the alley, now realizing that they were standing just inches apart. For some reason neither of them felt the need to look away. Jeonghan was mesmerized by the other's handsomeness from up close, but the same was true to the man too. He couldn't get his eyes off of Jeonghan's beauty.

Finally Jeonghan cleared his throat.

'T-The paintbrush...'

'Oh, right. Let's go this way' instructed the other and they continued walking. It only took a couple of minutes until they reached a door that opened to the alley. The boy slowly opened the door and let Jeonghan inside in front of himself.

'Hello?' Jeonghan heard the other's voice from behind him. He recognized that they were in a small shop. Even though he wondered if anyone actually knows about the shop, seeing how hidden it was. And he couldn't actually recognize what shop it was. Partly because it was dark inside, but it also had many different items everywhere on shelves. His eyes scanned the clutters, seeing books, spoons, hairbrushes, pillows, flower seeds, shoelaces, hair dye and even an apple pie on a plate. He seriously started wondering where the hell he is.

'Who's it?' came a voice from inside. Jeonghan squinted his eyes and in the darkness of the shop he finally saw a man who was sitting behind a small desk, reading a book in the faint light of a candle. He was wearing round glasses and a dark blue shirt. Hearing them he stared at them above his glasses expectantly.
