Chapter 3
Andres POV
Does she really think her kicking and screaming will stop me? She had a lot of nerve to just walk away from me. Plus, i didn't get the last word and i ALWAYS get the last word.
She's so stubborn! I'm not saying that I'm a perfect child but....I'm not THAT stubborn. When we finally got to my backyard i dumped her on the ground and layed down on the grass next to her. She was breathing heavily next to me because of all that kicking and screaming she was doing.
"You..are...a....horrible friend.....Andres Reyes!!" She heaved out. She turned her body to face me. "And you could've put me down a little more softly." I started chuckling because she knew why I did that, which made the situation all the more funny.
She socked me playfully in the arm, but it hurt a little bit. She must be practicing or something because her hits usually don't faze me. I rubbed my arm instinctively.....and she saw.
"Aww!! Andres isn't becoming a big softy is he? Or am I just getting to strong for you?" Jessie challenged. She had an evil grin that was so creepy but cute at the same time.
"I'll be a big softy for you any day of the week baby," I remarked.
She looked at me with a strange expression. "You need to stop flirting with everybody Andres." Jessie stated seriously.
Just then Frankie came out. Both of our heads snapped up to see Frankie's lanky form walk over to us. I couldn't see what so many girls saw in him. I wasn't sure if Jessie was attracted to him though. The very thought made my stomach churn with anger. Was it anger? Or was it....envy?
"Hey Jessie. Hey Andres." Frankie greeted. He looked at each of us separately....his eyes lingering on Jessie for a few seconds longer. "Do you wanna go shoot some hoops?" Frankie was a basketball fanatic. He loved everything about it. I was more so into baseball and wrestling. And David just liked riding his skateboard.
Jessie hopped up quickly. Almost like she wanted an excuse to get away from me. "Let's go!"

SWOOSH! That was my fifth basket in a row. Man, I don't see why I shouldn't be on the team. I'm beast at basketball....maybe even a little better.
It was 11 o'clock and Jessie had to go to bed because she had some day camp she was running with her cross country team tomorrow.
So it was just me and Frankie. David was too busy texting his "girlfriend", and Natalie and Kristy were at a retreat. Both of them are so different from Jessie. Natalie was really cute though. Kristy was just there.
"Hey Frankie. Do uh....do you still have a crush on Natalie?" I asked curiously. I had an idea.
Frankie's body tensed up when I asked. I looked at his face. Frankie couldn't lie if his life depended on it. From the way he was shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot, and not saying anything, i assumed he still did.
"Umm....well...yeah," he said looking down shyly. Gosh this kid is so uptight. He suddenly snapped his head up and looked me in the eye. "Why?"
"Oh....i was just wondering...."
"Why?"
"Well...cuz i wanted to ask her out," I said bluntly.
An awkward silence fell over us. I could feel his eyes burning into my skull. I wouldn't look at him though. He knew that I would get what I wanted.....no matter the circumstances. This was his moment where he had to accept that Natalie was going to be my girlfriend.
I set up to make my next shot. Six baskets in a row man. I started to raise my arms, when a fist connected to my face and knocked me out.
