Chapter 2:
Jessie POV
"I'm moving guys," Tessa said, looking down at her black vans. She knew that if she looked any of us in the eye she would burst into tears. There was a silence that fell over us as we took in what she said. The boys didn't care for Tessa too much....but Kristy, Natalie, and I did.
"Not again Tessa!" Kristy exclaimed. "The last time you left, you came back in three months!" Kristy stormed off leaving just me and Natalie with Tessa.
Tessa had a bad history with her mom, who currently lived in Texas. She's disowned Tessa at least four times, then called her and said she was sorry when she was totally drunk. Her mom kept coaxing her to go live with her in Texas....and i guess it worked.
"I'm s-sry Tes-sa b-but.....", Natalie stammered out between her tears. She walked away too. Natalie didn't really like crying in front of people. I personally hated crying in front of people, but that's just me. I don't understand how some girls can cry over a guy for hours and hours. I don't understand how a person could let someone in, only knowing that they'll probably end up falling for them....then act shocked when they end up torn and broken. That's why i keep guard up, so i never have to feel that pain......
Tessa and I watched Natalie walk away and cry.
"Well......that could have gone better....could have gone worse. I mean i could've started crying too," I joked. I hated awkward situations more than anybody. Tessa laughed a half-hearted laugh, telling me she was thinking about something else more important.
"Do you think I should leave Jessie?" Tessa questioned. She valued my opinion the most because I always told people the truth no matter what. Some people didn't take it so easily, and that's when drama starts.
"Well....umm....i think you should do whatever you feel is best,"i stated, "but.....," i continued slowly, "I don't think you'll last very long out there. Or maybe you won't even go. 'Cuz from what has happened over the last few years....you don't stick to your guns Tessa."
I knew she was offended by the last statement i made. Her eyes clouded with anger while she said, "Your a big help Jessie." Then she left me me and went home.
That went well. Everyone left and now i was the only one outside. Where are the boys? Usually they're outside shooting hoops by this time.
"BOO!!!" Someone screamed from behind me and grabbed my sides. I let out a surprised scream. I hated when people did that to me! I turned around and who do i see? The lovely Andres.
"You scared me!!" I practically screeched. Andres just sat down and laughed at me.
His eyes were big with mock surprise. "Really? I thought you screamed on a regular basis around me."
"Andres please you're not that special." I said with mild fury. I could never be mad at Andres for long. He was my best guy friend.
Andres dramatically put a hand over his heart. "Baby that cut me real deep. I don't think I can go on....i see...i see..." He closed his eyes and pretended to have a seizure. I fell on the floor next to him laughing like a hyena.
Andres opened his eyes and looked at me with a confused and hurt expression. "Good morning sunshine!" I yelled cheerfully.
"What if I was really having a seizure Jessie?" Andres questioned seriously. I pretended to think about it for a long time.
"I think.....I'd probably keep laughing!" I said triumphantly. "What do you expect me to do? You're obviously to busy having a seizure to tell me, so I would just keep laughing and never know."
I gave him a teasing look while he gave me a dangerously angry. I got up and started walking away. But then I heard footsteps behind. What? Before i knew what was going on i was being lifted and carried by Andres to his backyard.
I started kicking and yelling at him to put me down. It wasn't ant use though. Adrian was as stubborn as a mule. Eventually i gave up and just waited to be dumped on his backyard grass.
