"Y/N, KAGOME, SOTA! BREAKFAST IS READY, " Aunty calls for us.

I hurry and brush my teeth, and I put my hair into a puff and go to Kagome's room to wake her up, knowing she hadn't.

I called out her name, and she didn't wake up. Then I shook her, but she still didn't wake up, so I went and got Sota.

"Hey, Sota."

"What's up, N/N?"

"You wanna prank Kagome since she won't wake up?"

Sota pauses, then looks up at me with an evil smirk.

"You're the best cousin in the world you know that right."He says while smiling.

"Of course I do, Sota, or course I do."

"AHHHH! YOU TWO ARE SO DEAD!" Kagome yelled, chasing after us with her water-soaked pajamas and hair.

"Now, what have you two done to that girl now?" Aunty asks us while shaking her head.

"Well Aunty I knew Kagome wasn't gonna wake up when you called her and you were gonna to travel up those dreaded stairs to wake her up and I couldn't let you do that you work too hard already, so I put matters into my own hands."

"SO, YOU AND SOTA DECIDE TO POUR WATER ON ME!" Kagome yells.

"No, at first, I tried to wake you normally, but you sleep like a log, so I got Sota to help me out, and it worked so mission accomplished."

I shrug and sit down with Sota, and we start eating our breakfast.

Kagome glares at us, then storms off me and Sota look at each other, and smiles at each other.

"Alright, see you later, you two."

"Bye N/N." Sota says while waving.

Kagome just huffs at me and continues to school. I shrug, and I go to my room to get ready to help Grandpa with the shrine.

I do my normal tasks of cleaning up around the shrine, making sure everything is nice,clean, and tidy.

Then I help Grandpa sell merchandise to the visitors.

When I'm done I ready to go back to the house when Grandpa stops me.

"Y/N, come here real quick."

I walk up to Grandpa.

"Am I in trouble for pranking Kagome look she does the same?"

"No no you're not," he says.

"Oh, okay."

"Actually, I quite enjoy the little pranks you pull on each other. I think they are funny."

I laugh at Grandpa's response.

"What I really called you for was to give you this." He says while handing me a box

I look up at him, and I open the box only to see a dagger with two initials engraved in it.

I pick up and twirl it around in my hands.

"You mother said to give you this on your 18th birthday." He tells me.

I turn my head to Grandpa and give him a confused face.

"Grandpa... my birthday was months ago."

He stares at me, and then he clears his throat.

"I uh...I forgot." He says, chuckling a bit.

"Grandpa!"

He apologized, and we went back to the house. I lay on my bed looking at the dagger.

"A + O... hm."
