You live with your younger cousin Kagome and her family when you notice odd behavior from Kagome... She keeps going to a well, so... you follow her.

Kagome, Shippo, Sango, and Miroku all snorted. Sango tries to compose herself to break up the fight between Inuyasha and you.
"Calm down you two...let's just at least try to get along...you've been at each other's throats for the past 3 days now"
"No, I'm sorry I just can't stand this.... I have no earthly clue how all of you put up with his attitude."
You say quite frustrated.
"And I don't know how people stand how useless you are....at least Kagome has her magic arrow things...Miroku has his vacuum hand hole, Sango has that giant boomerang and Shippo can turn into things.... But every time we fight demons you're just in the way!"
Inuyasha yells back.
"You know what...."
You grab your makeshift bag Kagome made you.
"I need a breather"
You begin to walk towards the forest.
(I know I know.... none of us are walking in no forest. But it's for plot so...its ok)
"Wait Y/N where are you going?"
Kagome tries to stop you
"I saw a stream at the edge of the forest, so I'll take a breather and a break there...ill catch up"
"But Y/N its dangerous out he-"
"It's fine I have my knife...plus if I need help, you'll know trust me yall gonna have to keep up with me imma be running so fast"
You joke to make Kagome less worried... she still looks worried, but she sighs.
"Just...be safe ok..."
"Ok...I promise"
You smile and walk towards the forest

"I'm not a crusty white dog"
Inuyasha grumbles.
"You're still hurt about that Inuyasha?"
Sango asks
"N-NO....I'm not it wasn't even a good insult.... (I'm not crusty she is)"
He thinks...obviously hurt.
