Episode 1: Reunion Timelapse

"Rick?!" I gasped holding my hands up to my mouth, tears began to slowly fall down my cheeks as I ran towards the familiar stranger.

I hugged Rick and cried in to his chest as he laughed and cried too. Judith stood there in shock but eventually reality kicked in and she ran towards us.

"Daddy! Daddy! I missed you daddy!" She cried and squealed as Rick picked her up and held her tightly.

"I can't believe it..." Said Carl completely bewildered as he stepped forward toward his father.

"Hello son." Said Rick reaching his arm out to Carl.

Carl didn't refuse and practically ran in to Rick's arms, he began to whimper quietly in to Rick's chest. This moment was a moment I would never want to forget.

"H-How did you-" I stuttered while I looked up to him.

"We left the prison before the explosion, watched it all go down... We looked for you but w-we couldn't find you. We thought you were all dead..." Rick's voice began to break and he cleared his throat quickly.

"What?! The others are here?! Where?! Are they all still alive?! Is Michonne?" Carl said firing questions at Rick.

"Yes, yes they're all alive son."Rick laughed and Carl breathed a sigh of relief.

It felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of our shoulders. And once again I was forever grateful for this moment. I was happy again.

The door of the room opened and in poured in the rest of the group. Michonne, Glenn and Maggie, Sasha, Carol, Daryl and Mika.

I ran up to Maggie and clung on to her. She clung on to me too and held me tightly and this time, I didn't care about the strength of the hug. Maggie had the same scent as Beth.

Memories flashed in my head of Beth's final moments. She sacrificed herself for Josh and took the bullet for him.

"Clementine, I thought... I've missed you so much hunny." Maggie cried as as she stroked my hair.

"I missed you too..." I whimpered.

I pulled away and turned to Glenn. He smiled and I noticed small tears forming in his eyes.

"Hey orange. He smiled, he was still the same Glenn.

He leaned forward and hugged me awkwardly. I looked across the room and noticed Carl hugging Michonne. Of course Michonne did not shed a single year but I knew she would if she physically could.

I walked over to the rest of the group. Mika was the first to notice me, she looked so much more different, her hair was braided to the side and she had noticeably matured in her features. She hugged me and I hugged her back. I then exchanged greetings with the others.

It was such a perfect moment.

A year and a half later...

The city of Atlanta had come a long way. Everything was a lot more different to when we first arrived but fortunately in a positive way. The whole city was now at least three times bigger. And it was now called Prestige City. One of the biggest communities in the world. We hardly ever went beyond the walls, it was a completely different world inside the walls than the outside.

Everything was normal.

The way the world used to be.

There are tiers now, sort of classes in a way.

The Scout Tier: They're the only tier that are allowed to go beyond the wall at anytime. There isn't many of them because no one really wants to go outside the walls when the world on the inside is completely perfect. They help survivors and try to persuade them to join the community or they tell them they can go to other communities in other cities. They also go looting, not that there's much left, they look for scrap metal, batteries and gas.

The Military Tier: The Prestige Military run the defences of the community. They protect the community and are also the police of the city. Thankfully hardly any of them are corrupt for now atleast. I'm entirely sure that if the shit hit the fan, they'd all betray us... But who wouldn't in that situation?

The Building Tier: They're in charge of taking care of the expansions of the community. They build new houses but not regularly due to the lack of supplies. Quite a lot of people and families have to share houses.

The Worker Tier: They just do daily jobs that no one else can be bothered to do themselves. Some of them run the businesses and stores of the city.

The Prestige Tier: The highest tier of the community. That I am also apart of due to me being in Rick's family. We get most of the perks, it's unfair but considering the amount of work we have to do by running the city and communicating with the other city communities.

There's a lot of order in the city now, we haven't had an incident in months. The first week we arrive there was a murder and sadly that person had to be killed. Everyone in the city was notified about the murder as a warning. It was just a thing that had to be done to obtain order and stability.

There isn't a lot of electricity in the city, mainly because we don't have a reliable source of fuel but once we start cooperating with the other cities that issue will be sorted. Everything was chaotic right now and quite hard to deal with but hopefully that would be sorted.

Judith is now six and goes to the local school with Mika. Of course it's not a school the way I remember it. I mean they still do math and literature but they're mainly taught about survival, combat and fitness. Judith is always the highest in her class as is Mika.

Me and Carl usually help run the city by checking up on neighbourhoods and examining new residents or people who wish to join our community. We get at least two groups of over five people everyday. Sometimes we have to turn them away because some of them turn up infected thinking we have a cure.

Me and Carl are officially together as a couple and we decided to rename me as a Grimes. Mika also changed her name to Grimes too and Mika and Judith call each other sisters. We're a whole family now.

And everything is just perfect.
