Miguelito couldn't get the mysterious anime girl out of his head. Every moment of his day was consumed with thoughts of her. He couldn't focus in school, and he barely spoke to his friends during lunch. He knew that he had to find her, but he had no idea where to start. The only info he has found so far was from a pop-up ad on Crunchyroll suggesting the existence of anime groups who met 2KM away from him to discuss sub-natural anime conspiracies. Probably utter nonsense trying to attract gullible weebs to install a virus.
As soon as school was over, Miguelito decided to go for a walk around the city. He hoped that the fresh air would help him clear his head and come up with a plan. As he walked, he noticed that there were a lot of people wearing anime-themed clothing. Some of them were even carrying cosplay weapons. He wondered if any of them knew anything about the mysterious anime girl.
He approached a group of girls who were dressed as characters from Sailor Moon. "Excuse me," he said. "Do any of you know anything about a secret anime club or conspiracy group?"
The girls looked at each other and then burst out laughing. "What are you talking about?" one of them said. "There's no such thing as a secret anime club or conspiracy group."
Miguelito felt embarrassed. He knew that he sounded crazy, but he couldn't help it. He was desperate for any information about the anime girl.
He continued walking and eventually found himself in a part of town that he had never been to before. It was a rundown area with graffiti-covered walls and broken windows. He felt nervous walking through the deserted streets, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was getting closer to finding the anime girl.
As he turned a corner, he saw a small, dimly lit storefront with a sign that read "Otaku's Paradise." He couldn't believe his luck. This had to be it. He cautiously pushed open the door and stepped inside.
The store was packed with anime merchandise. Posters covered the walls, shelves were filled with DVDs and manga, and there were even life-sized anime figures in the corners. The store was empty, except for a man behind the counter who was reading a manga.
Miguelito approached him. "Excuse me, do you know anything about a secret anime club or conspiracy group?"
The man looked up and raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"
Miguelito took a deep breath and explained everything. He told the man about the mysterious anime girl and his desperate search for her. The man listened intently and then shook his head. "I've never heard of anything like that," he said. "But if you're looking for anime, you've come to the right place."
Miguelito browsed through the merchandise, hoping that he would find something that would lead him to the anime girl. He didn't find anything, but he did end up buying a One Piece poster for Gonçalo's birthday, as well as a new Yuzu Aihara body-pillow to add to his collection.
As he left the store, he noticed a flyer on a nearby telephone pole. It was advertising an anime group meeting that was going to be held in an abandoned office-building near the Clerigos tower. Miguelito's heart skipped a beat. This could be it. This could be his chance to find the anime girl. This could be what the pop-up had rumored.
Miguelito had been walking around for hours now, but he couldn't find the secret anime club. He had scowered the whole abandoned office building, but it seemed to live up to it's name. He decided to take a break and sit on a nearby bench, trying to catch his breath.
As he sat there, he realized that he was starving. He decided to head to a Burger King to grab his usual order of 7 Whopper Jr's and 2 Extra Large Fries, paired with a 2L bottle of Coca Cola. Before heading there however, he saw a group of people gathered outside the old building. Curiosity getting the best of him, he decided to investigate.
As he approached the group, he overheard their conversation. They were discussing something about a secret society that met inside the building. Miguelito's heart raced as he realized that this could be the secret anime club he had been searching for.
He quickly walked away from the group, pretending like he hadn't heard anything. Once he was far enough, he took out his phone and noted down the details they had mentioned. He decided to come back later that night to investigate further.
That night, Miguelito put on his black hoodie and headed out to the old building. He approached the entrance cautiously, making sure no one was around. The door was unlocked, and he slowly pushed it open.
As he entered the building, he heard the faint sound of Japanese music playing, recognizing immediately the iconic soundtrack of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures, which he had been streaming with Spotify Premium only an hour earlier . He followed the sound, and it led him to a large room. It was dimly lit, and there were posters of hundreds of anime characters on the walls. Miguelito only took a second to spot the familiar face of his one true love beaming at him in her 2D form.
Miguelito's eyes turned to people gathered around a large screen, watching anime. They were all dressed in black hoodies, just like him, some of which had prints of their favorite anime's on them.
He realized that he had finally found the secret anime club.
He was one step closer to the real adventure.
