I was hoping tomorrow night would take forever to arrive. However it seemed like the quickest day of my life, and now it's time for me to hang out with Preston. We agreed to just walk through the castle, nothing too much like a date, but a simple hang out. I don't care much about my outfit right now. All we're doing is walking around after all.
I keep on what I'm already wearing and head down to the great hall where I agreed to meet him.
By the time I'm down there, he's already standing by the doors waiting for me. I feel weird going out with someone. Most people are either scared of me because I'm a Malfoy, or they think I'm entirely too cool.
Jared is the only person at this school that has ever made me feel like a person and not just a name.
Which also makes me feel very hopeless for this little hang out. I try to be optimistic.
"How are you?" He asks.
"I'm doing okay, how are you."
He shrugs. "Alright." We begin to walk. "So um, I have a question."
"Ask away."
"You and Jared aren't like.. together right?"
I shake my head. "No, just really good friends. He's the first friend I made here."
"Okay, just wondering because I noticed you guys spend a lot of time together."
We walk back towards the Slytherin common room.
"So, do you like Terrance?" He asks.
Terrance, Jared's older brother. He's in seventh year, and he looks really similar to Jared, he's just a little more muscular.
"He's always been sweet to me, I don't have any reason not to like him." I say.
Preston gives me an unsure glance.
"What's that for?"
He shrugs. "He just seems like such a man-whore."
"I mean- he is pretty popular with the ladies if that's what you're implying. He always has been."
He laughs. "I heard that's what your father was like."
My eyes go wide and I nod. "Now he was a man-whore, up until he started dating my mother.."
My mother tries to limit talking about how my father was before they got together, but she sometimes can't help but bring it up. She thought he was absolutely ridiculous.
I've never seen Terrance that way though, I just think he's genuinely handsome and that's why girls throw themselves at him. The only guy I know that's more handsome than him, is his brother.
"Terrance isn't like that, I can tell you that much." I say.
I haven't had many experiences out with boys. I don't really know what to say or do. I don't know what love feels like. I've never been touched by it. Of course, my family loves me. But if we're talking romantic connection, I don't know what it's like.

FanficBefore reading this story I would very highly suggest reading "Hopelessly Jealous" which is also written by me. I will make references in this story that will be very confusing without having read that book. This is basically a sequel of that book...
