6 -The Beginning

The past...

Jungkook hurried from the doors of the school to the parking lot. His heavy boots pounding into the pavement as he rushed himself to the car where his mate was waiting.

Jungkook was only 16, but his best friend who was an alpha, and was older, had known they were mates already, so he was happy to be able to be his clingy self outside of the public eye with someone he trusted.

Seokjin had been his friend since before they could even remember, both growing up together closely and always being together made it easy for them to have a strong bond. So when Jin was entranced by the scent of his longtime friend, he was elated. He'd tried to keep it to himself since Jungkook was only 13 at the time, but he'd broken down on the omega's 15th birthday when the younger had expressed his wish that the alpha would eventually be his.

Jin cried as he hugged the younger, "I already am yours, I always will be." Jungkook just nestled himself  further into the elder's chest, his tears slowly flowing and wetting the alpha's shirt. "I mean, for real. You're old enough to know who your mate is, and you've never said anything about them. I'm afraid of being with anyone else. You're the only one who understands me. I can't help that, I love you."

Jungkook whispered the last part, Jin only chuckling in response and pressing a kiss to the top of the younger's head. "Oh my baby, you're my mate. You're my everything. I love you so much more than you'll ever be able to imagine. I was trying to wait until you were old enough before I said anything. But I can't see you cry, my sweet boy can't cry."

Now, a year later, Jungkook was more than happy to see his alpha leaning against the car, a smile on his face as he waited for the younger. The omega hurried into the elder's arms, his nose immediately finding the alpha's scent and inhaling deeply. Jin just smiled and hugged the boy in his arms. "Hi baby, I have a surprise for you."

Jungkook looked up into the alpha's face, his confused pout making Jin smile wider before kissing his forehead. "It might be hard to get used to at first, but we'll figure it out, ok?" Jungkook just nodded and let himself be ushered into the passenger seat of the car, immediately turning around to look in the backseat when he caught a new scent.

The male in the back waved sheepishly, the omega looking at Jin who'd just gotten into the car and was watching the omega's reaction. The stranger gave off a strong scent, indicating that he was an alpha.

"Baby?"

Jin's voice caught Jungkook's attention, pulling him from his intrusive thoughts of being left alone.

"This is Yoongi, he's going to be our mate too."

Jungkook's mind immediately went into overdrive, his body turning back to face the front of the car where he stared at the dashboard, his thoughts turning dark and his ears completely blocking out that both alphas were trying to get his attention.

"Baby, we're home."

Jin's voice broke the younger's train of dark thoughts, his eyes finally moving and making contact with the elder. He could smell the distressed scent coming from the new alpha in the back, making him feel bad for his reaction to their first meeting.

"Baby? Are you ok?" Jin asked carefully, his eyes full of concern for his little omega, his heart constricting at how sad he could see he was. Jungkook just nodded, making his way out of the car and to the front door to wait for the alpha.

Jungkook couldn't stop thinking about how his mate finally found someone he could actually be with, rather than having to wait. the omega wasn't of age yet, and though Jin had said he was ok with waiting for, certain things, the younger only saw how he was going to be pushed aside now that he had someone who was old enough to be with him.
