A warm afternoon in the middle of April, at the backyard of the smallest house in the neighbourhood, a nine year old girl named Alicia was making her way around the beautiful garden. There was all sort of flowers planted in that garden by her mother; roses, lilies and daisies of all shapes and colours were some of them. Spring scents in the air and colourful images were filling up the young girl's senses. Tall trees, planted by Alicia's grandfather in the backyard years ago, were now covered by climbing plants creating a scene taken out of a fairy tale.

This garden was every child's dream. The games and the adventures a child could have in this beautiful place were endless but the little girl didn't seem to care for any sort of playing right now. She looked sad, consumed into her own thoughts. Last night she woke up from her peaceful sleep because of all the loud noises and screams that were coming from downstairs. She remember grabbing her favourite teddy bear and walking down the stairs. She could see her father yelling at her mother again, but this time he was holding a huge brown bag in his hands. They didn't notice her sitting there, in the middle of the stairs, looking at them with her big sad blue eyes. They kept fighting and screaming, little Alicia couldn't understand why grown-ups had to fight all the time. She and her friends would rarely fight about anything but even if they did they always make up, unlike her parents.

A sound came from somewhere behind her and she immediately turned to see who was there. She stared at the far end of the backyard where she thought the sound was coming from. Seeing nothing, she began to walk toward the direction of the trees and came to a halt when she heard the strange noise once again, only this time more loudly than before. She kneeled and made her way under the climbing plants and into the middle of the big trees, where the warm sun of spring couldn't reach the ground.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" Alicia's childish voice broke the silence. She sat on the ground crossing her feet and stretching her ears to hear that strange sound again. After a few moments of waiting the little girl sighed and decided to give up her search.

"Help!"

The girl froze and looked around surprised. She had heard someone calling for help, a very very low cry for help, but still she had heard it.

"Help! Please help me"

Alicia was now sure that someone was in danger. She made silently her way towards the voice and she came to a stop before what it seemed to be a wall of climbing plants. She stretched her ears once more and she could hear again the small cry. With her little child fingers she removed the plants and tried to take a peek on the other side. She gasped and looked surprised when she saw the

evil cat of Mrs Tarantula, the old lady that lived across the street, pinning down on the ground a small, tiny little butterfly.

"Please help me" the butterfly said but Alicia realised that butterflies don't talk so this was something else
