Natalia

We had arrived at my in laws home early in the morning. My thoughts were more organized and my emotions were at bay. Eli and Owen were worried at how I went from mourning and uncontrollable to calm and collected within a span of a few hours but this is something I was all too familiar with.

Declan took my husband, my daughter's father and severely injured my brothers. I would be avenging my family all while keeping Zoey safe and rescuing Callum.

Elijah and Owen were riding in the front excited to finally meet Zoey and to discuss our findings with Ronan. Zoey quickly came out running from Bianca's arms, "Mama! I missed you" she cried as she jumped in my arms, "I missed you too baby" I said as I held her tight. "Where's daddy?" Zoey asked looking around.

"Daddy got caught up with a lot of work Zoey."I paused trying to control my emotions, "but daddy wanted me to tell you that he misses you so much too and he can't wait to finish up and come home." I wearily smiled at her.

"But why can't he come back now" she frowned. Elijah intercepted, "your daddy will come back as soon as he can sweetheart" he smiled.

We entered the house and met with Ronan while Zoey had breakfast with Bianca on the patio that overlooked their stables. Ronan sat at his desk calm and collected listening to our recent discoveries trying to piece it all together , "it could be that he didn't die in the fire. But that doesn't mean Declan won't kill him soon after. Espcially now that it's been a week and some days"

"We're working against an invisible clock" I sighed. "Then there is the matter of you Natalia, we can't be 100% sure he's alive" Owen said cautiously ,"I'll take whatever I can" I quickly replied. "My father and extended family have pledged all their resources into this including whoever else we have connections too that won't turn on us in a moment of weakness"I added.  Ronan smiled up at me with admiration, "When my son married you I knew you would be well equipped for the role of wife to a leader, but you are a leader yourself" he smiled, "we will begin our search, and hope that he is still alive"

"I was hoping Zoey can stay here during the time being so we can work freely from our home without exposing her to any of this"

Ronan was suprised but knew it was best. Zoey couldn't over hear anything and it was best for her saftey to not be near it while we worked on finding him. Kids aren't stupid and can pick up on things fairly quickly. Especially Zoey who I know if she heard what really happened it would destroy her.

The rest of the day was spent with Zoey and finally introducing her to her uncle Eli and Owen. They played with her in the garden while I sat with Bianca. "You're leaving with them this evening back to the scene of the crime?" She hesitantly asked.

"Yes, it's better to go at night to not attract attention to ourselves. Our families are capable of steering away the entire police force to let us conduct our business but we need as much privacy on this as possible"  I said sternly, "our family has grown and our power is unmatched now but we can't have anyone else finding out what has happened. There are always those that are lurking in the shadows waiting to strike."

Bianca sat in silence for a bit as she processed what I had before letting out a large sigh, "you're right Natalia." She nervously smiled at me again as she let out another deep breath, "we were shocked when we heard Callum had died. But as oddly as it may sound. I didn't believe it... My son is strong and something like that couldn't have killed him." She looked over to me focusing her black eyes on me ," I'm glad you felt it too Natalia. And because of this we have some hope"

"You won't need worry much anymore" Ronan said walking behind us up to the table. He ran his hand throw his silver hair and pressed his glasses up, "we just got a call from someone in Germany " he said seriously. Eli ran up to the table leaving Owen and Zoey playing in the garden. "What do you mean Germany?"
