Karkat shuddered as he heard Gamzee's words echoing in his mind. He had always known that Gamzee was unpredictable, but he had never imagined that he would turn on him like this. Karkat knew he had to get as far away from Gamzee as possible, but he also knew that it wouldn't be easy. Gamzee was a skilled tracker, and Karkat didn't doubt that he would follow him to the ends of the earth if he had to.
Taking a deep breath, Karkat started running. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew he had to put as much distance between himself and Gamzee as possible. He ran for what felt like hours, his legs aching and his lungs burning. But he didn't stop. He couldn't stop. He had to keep moving.
As the sun began to set, Karkat stumbled into a small clearing. He collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath. He was exhausted, but he knew he couldn't rest for long. He had to keep moving.
Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes. His heart pounding, he jumped to his feet and looked around, trying to see where the sound was coming from. But it was too dark. He couldn't see anything.
"Karkat," a voice whispered in the darkness. "You can't hide from me."
It was Gamzee. Karkat's heart sank. He had been so close to getting away.
"Come on out, Karkat," Gamzee said. "Let's talk about this."
Karkat hesitated, then slowly stepped forward. He didn't know what Gamzee wanted, but he knew he couldn't run forever.
"What do you want, Gamzee?" he asked, his voice shaking.
Gamzee stepped out of the shadows, a wicked grin on his face. "I want to play a game, Karkat," he said. "A game of hide and seek."
Karkat's heart sank. He knew he was in trouble. But he also knew he had to play along. He nodded, and the game began.
For hours, Karkat and Gamzee played their twisted game of hide and seek. Karkat tried to stay one step ahead of Gamzee, but he always seemed to be one step behind. And every time Gamzee found him, he would taunt him, telling him that he could never escape.
But Karkat didn't give up. He kept running, kept hiding, kept fighting. And eventually, he found a way to escape. He slipped away in the dead of night, leaving Gamzee behind.
