the next morning, i woke up to a flurry of texts from both scara and lara.

i decided to open scara's messages first, just incase it was anything important.

i turned off my phone as i realized i hadn't got ready yet.

today i didn't have to go into work, so i decided i would just chill at home and romanticize my life.

i freshened up, and i put on a comfy pajama set of my favorite colour.

i sat down on the couch, and i decided to watch a new show id been putting off.

i looked down at my phone, and the groupchat was still active.

i put on a nice graphic tee, my favorite pair of jeans, and my favorite shoes.

i took my purse and i left my apartment, heading towards the chicken shop which fortunately was close to me.

when i got there, i sat at one of the outside tables, waiting for scara and lara.

lara came first, which makes sense since her apartment is about the same distance, just on the opposite side.

scara arrived last, of course, seeing as he was new to the city.

"well hello everyone." i said first.

"hey guys, thanks for meeting up with me." scara smiled.

"so, are you trying to find a breakfast spot first?" i asked him.

"yeah. and don't worry about how expensive it is. i can pay for everyone." he said.

"well alright, i guess we have the perfect spot." i wink at lara.

she smirks back, and we all get up and head towards the breakfast spot.

as we walk in, the aroma of waffle and pancake mix fills the air.

"i forgot how good it smells in here, damn." lara commented.

"right, it always smells amazing in here." i turned to scara.

"this is the perfect waffle/pancake spot. they have tons of toppings as well. it's pretty pricy so me and lara don't go often, but it's perfect." i tell him.

we order our desired food, and we all sit down together.

as we were in the middle of a conversation, scara announced something.

"i just got an important text... im going to have to leave after we finish eating." he looked down at his phone.

"oh, thats okay. is everything alright?" i asked.

"yeah, just a small issue. we can still stream tonight, i think. ill text you if anything comes up." he reassures us.

we finish our meal, and we walk scara back to his place. lara then decides to come over my house for a bit, just to debrief.

we sit down on my couch together and turn on a tv show for some ambiance.

"so... you and scara seem pretty close for some people who just met." lara smiled.

"really? you think so?" i blushed.

"he might be into you.." she says, while twirling her hair.

"i doubt that. but i don't know, anything is possible." i laugh.

we talk for nearly an hour, and she tells me she has to go back home.

as im leading her out the door, i get a tweet notification.
