chapter twenty | final

i walked into the room, sitting in my assigned chair and looking up at the host as she announced various streamers' names.

it had been 2 years since i started streaming, and i had already come so far... so far that i had been invited to a content creator awards ceremony.

"and the award for most iconic streamer goes to... y/n, aka ducksnsoda!"

i smile brightly, and walk up to the podium, preparing to say a short and sweet thank you.

"thank you to everyone who voted for me, firstly. without everyone who supported me at the start of my rocky career, i wouldn't be standing up here. and lastly, i have to appreciate my fiancé scaramouche, and my best friend, lara. they were always there for me, ready to defend me and help me get back onto my feet. thank you everyone!" i smile and accept my trophy, walking off the stage.

everyone claps and cheers for me, and i walk back to my seat, lara and scara waiting for me.

"your little speech was too cute." lara smiled at me.

"agreed. im so proud of you, y/n." scara kissed me on the cheek.

after the award ceremony, scara decided to host a little afterparty with other streamers at our penthouse.

lara sits next to me, and she gives me a big hug.

"i'm so proud of you y/n. when we first started watching scara, i would never expect we'd all be popular streamers, and you'd be engaged to him. this is seriously unreal." lara tells me.

"aw, you're so sweet lara, i love you. you're seriously the best. i'm so proud of you too, your youtube videos are seriously the best." i hug her again.

"thank you. oh- before i forget, quinn texted me something..." she pulls out her phone and shows me a text message from quinn.

'hey lara, i hope you see this. i can't contact scaramouche or y/n so can you please show them?

i wanted to apologize for everything i did. it was awful and immature, and there was no reason to for me to act like that. ive moved on from all that, and i feel bad that only now i can apologize. however, im truly sorry. you don't have to of course, but i sincerely hope you forgive me.'

i sat and thought about the message a bit.

"did you show scara already?" i ask.

"no, i wanted to hear what you had to say first. ill tell her what you have to say." lara tells me.

"well... i appreciate her apology. i'm not sure i can accept it right now. but... im trusting that her message was genuine." i nod and smile.

"alright, ill tell her. and ill go ask scara now." lara gets back up to go find him.

a/n: finally being done with this fic is the weirdest feeling. im really proud of myself for finally completing a fic (rip my old michael afton fics, we all know i probably ain't finishing those) cuz it really was kind of hard for me at times. THANK U SO MUCH FOR READING AHH!!! if u want me to write a fic abt another genshin character then tell me!!! as of writing, i have a childe fic that's ongoing, but thats it... besides that, lemme know what u like abt the fic, and critique me (NICELY) cuz i definitely need it, lol. the start of the book was so fast paced.
