Love of A Nerd

Chapter 6

   Kelly ran out when she saw me. I ran after her, I wouldn't let her go this easily. When I caught up to her she had a look of fear.
   "Kelly, why'd you run?" I asked her trying to cover up the hurt that I felt in my heart.
   "This is just some stupid prank, isn't it? Just cut the cameras right now!" She yelled in my face. She looked so hot when.....no stop getting off topic. I need her to tutor me or at least hang out with me.
   "Kelly it's not a prank. I asked them to set us up to be tutor buddies. Please, I need this?" I tried to reason and not sound desperate. Even to my own ears I could hear the desperation.
   "Why would you ask them to do this? You hate me." She said trying to state the obvious.
   "If only you knew." I muttered under my breath, hoping she wouldn't hear. Luck is not on my side today.
   "If only I knew what?"
   "Nothing just meet me outside of school tomorrow after school. Around 3:00." When I said that I turned around and walked home. I didn't want to hear her answer because I was afraid of it. If she said no to all of this my plan I ruined. I need her by my side. Almost everyone knows that I have a crush on her. That's why none of the girls in our grade ask me out. I just wish I never went at getting her the wrong way. Tonight is going to be another restless, sleepless night.

<next morning>

   Today I made sure to dress extra hot for Kelly. And I pulled out some thing I never thought I would pull out again. My glasses. I have contacts, nobody knew that but my best friend and my family. My glasses are a pair of those big round ones. Ya that's why I never wear them. For Kelly I would wear them when ever she asked me to.
   While driving to school I wondered how everyone would react to my new style. I also change to skinnies and a plaid shirt. I'm about 5 minutes from school when I see Kelly's and Karry's car behind me. Crap! I'm going to have to go a different way so they don't see me get the car. I didn't want Kelly to see my new look without everyone approving of it.
As I'm pulling into the school parking lot, I text my friends to come check out my new look. If the girls approve then I'm good.
   "Dude, why'd you ask us to meet you here? We usually meet at the front of the school so you can look at you little crush." Mitchell, my closest friend, said.
   "I know but I couldn't let Kelly see me without the girls approval. And I know the girls wouldn't come without their boyfriends." I said getting out of the car. I heard gasp from every where. As I'm looking around I don't see Kelly, Karry or Snow. They must've gone to the library. Looks like the librarian is up for a visitor.
