Love of A Nerd

Chapter 3

This is that day I have greatly wanted to go away. The first day of school. Now don't get me wrong, I am the nerd and I do love school, it's just I don't want to go to a place where Luke Michaels can bully me. Ever since 6th grade he has bullied me and I don't know why. He is the only one that bullies me, even his followers don't do anything anymore. I quickly get out of bed when my brother barges in.
"You're going to be late if you get up right now!" Matthew says.
"Ok, ok. I'm getting up." I yelled at him.
I start my normal morning routine. Shower, closet search, getting dressed ,contacts, makeup, breakfast. By the time I'm done, I'm right on time. I run outside and hop in my cherry red Ferrari. My parents are rich, they are the best doctors in the world. They were never home when I was growing, my brother practically raised me.
"Bye!" my brother yelled from the door.
"Love you! See you soon!" I yelled right back.
While driving to school I started thinking about the new things Luke has planned for this year. He can do anything as long as he doesn't bring my friend and family into it. Speaking of friend, I can't wait to see Karry. He's been my best friend since pre-k. He thought I wouldn't like him when he told me he was gay. I was happy that he told me first because he said I was the most important person in his life. His parents disowned him when he came out to him, so I had my mom and dad make him a house close to ours. He always rides behind me in his hot pink Rolls-Royce. My parent bought it for him around the time I got mine, on our birthdays. My birthday is October 5 while his is the 8th of October. We always celebrated our birthdays together. The reason my brother and father let him be as close to me as he is because they know he bats for the same team as him.
I turn around me to see Karry driving up behind me, seeing as I just past his house. He always waits for me to drive by before he leaves. Karry knows about Luke and how he treats me. One time Karry was with me and Luke started to mess with me and Karry gave him a broken nose and a black eye. Karry is like an overprotective brother when my actual brother isn't around. He's single but only because he can't find the right guy. He wants a guy that will act like the girl in the relationship. I made it my goal this year to find him that guy.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I pulled up in the school courtyard. Everyone was gawking at Karry's and my car. This is the first time we have driven them to school. They don't know it's us, they are in for a big surprise. Karry texts me asking if I am ready to get out and I reply 'no let the suspense hang'. About 2 minutes later I text him 'get out....Now'.
     When we step out of our cars everyone gasps. Mummers start going around, some saying how great the car looks or how I'm just a show off, but they don't hurt me or Karry. I walk around my car and meet up with Karry in front of the cars. We link arm and walk in like we own the place, which my parents do. My happiness was cut short when Luke walked right in front of me.
"What do you want Michaels?" Karry said through clenched teeth. I could see his hands turning into fists.
"I just want to talk to my buddies." Luke stated in fake happiness.
"Luke we will never be friends so stop faking and move on." Karry and I said at the same time. I can see him getting angrier by the second.
"Kelly, oh sweet Kelly you wound me." Luke says dramatically drawing attention from a few school goers.
"Goodbye Luke." Karry says as he drags me away from him towards our lockers. They are right by each other and they're pink. Since my parents own the school, Karry and I were allowed to do anything we wanted over the summer with the school. We had our lockers painted pink. Our seats turned into spinning plush seats and in every room there is two beanbag chairs for us if we get tired. We are both the smartest people in school so we can sleep during class and the teachers won't care. We also turned our desks into two of the desks that my dad and I made when I was younger. They were made of old junk that we didn't use any more. Mine was made out of speakers, a bookshelf and a big white board. Karry's desk legs were made from books and the top was a whiteboard like mine but his had a pink border while mine had a bright green border.
"Hey Kelly. Are you alright?" Karry asked. "You blanked out again."
"Yeah, I was just thinking of all things we changed over the summer. I can't wait to see people faces when they find out it's our stuff." I put a humongous smile on. I thought it was about to ruin my face.
"OMG. I totally forgot about those. Since I wasn't here when you got the beanbag chairs. What color is mine?" He asked nervous of what I got him.
"What do you color do you think I got you?" I asked knowing that he knew what color I got him."
"Pink?" It came out more of a question than an answer.
"Well congratulations you won the grand prize for answering the question right."
"Oooooo what do I get what do I get?" he asked getting really excited.
"This" giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, knowing he hates it when I do that because others won't see him as a man.
"Eww!" He screams running off to the bathroom.
"Don't leave me! Get back here! You know what will happen!" I yell down the hall at him causing him halt right away. Last time he left me I ignored him for 2 week after giving him a broken nose and bruised eye. He started reversing and walking backwards. He fell flat on his butt because he ran into someone. I have never seen him around. I walk over to investigate
"Hi I'm Kelly. And that idiot is my gaybie, Karry." When I mentioned that Karry was gay his smile brightened. Looks like I have some match making to do.
"Hi my name is Snow Black. And I think your friend is cute. Consider me your new friend." I look at Karry to find him already looking at me. We start jumping around yelling 'we got a new friend!' Karry stops and starts glaring at me as if just registering what I just said. I turn to Snow.
"Did your parents name you after Snow White?" I ask with an amused smile. He blushes.
"N-N-no!" His stutter is just too cute. I pinch his cheeks.
"Awww! You stuttered. That's so cute. You will be the perfect prince for me friend!"
      Both him and Karry start blushing. They start growling.
"Uh-oh! Gotta go!" I barely have time to turn around and start running down the hall to the next class. I'm running and jumping left and right until I hit a rock hard chest and feel sparks light throughout my body. I look up and see Luke.
"H-h-hi."
"Watch where you're going nerd!" He says before I hear growling behind me. Look behind me to find Karry and Snow with angry face and snarling at Luke.
"Get away from her!" They say in unison. That's weird.
"Or what?" Luke challenged them.
"Or you be in the hospital again with worse injuries than you did last time!" Karry said. That caused Luke to back up.
"Hold on I didn't do anything to her she ran into me!" Luke said.
"Then why does she look like she's about to break." With that I stand up and run to my car and drive to my special place. Karry knows where I'll be if I'm not at my house.
Today has been the worst and best school day ever. I made a new friend without even trying, I also made a new defender. Luke didn't do much but he still did some damage to me. I'm used to it by now. Karry found a new potential forever prince.
