You looked around the field anxiously. Somewhere was your crush, Sirena Von Boo. She was supposed to meet you at the field!
You had slipped a letter in her locker, asking for her to meet on the field with an anonymous person at 3.
You had waited all day to meet her, and finally, it was time!
But the disappointment you felt was crushing. You had waited patiently for her as the time ticked by. By the time 3:30 had rolled around, you stood and walked away.
Sirena watched from the distance, her heart shattered. She had received the letter, but she had assumed it was from someone different! If it wasn't you, she wanted no part in it.
She followed you to the field in hopes of seeing your after-school life. When the realization hit that you were waiting for her, it was already too late.
She slowly followed you to your home, watching as your head hung lowly. You were approached by someone, and she could barely make out the face of Neighthan Rot.
"How'd it go?" He asked.
You shrugged. "She didn't show up."
Neighthan sighed sadly. He had hoped that things would go well for you, seeing as though you were his best friend. When things hadn't gone to plan, he could understand why you sulked.
He placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, and you smiled sadly.
It was just a crush, you told yourself. It was only a little, itty bitty crush. There was nothing to get upset over.
You and Neighthan began to walk inside of your home. You reclined on your couch and groaned.
"How was class?" He asked.
"Fine." You replied.
"Just fine?"
"Yep. Just fine."
Sirena watched you sleep a few nights later. She felt horrible during the days that followed her mistake. She couldn't sleep, she couldn't eat, she couldn't focus. She was so close to having you, and she let you slip away.
No! She was tired of her love going unnoticed by you. She had to think up a plan... but how?
How would she ever get you?
Sirena left your house and returned to her own. She had to think of something, anything!
But what?
She decided she'd go for something classic. Didn't gargoyles love the cheesy and romantic side of life?
She'd give you just that, and she slept peacefully, knowing that you'd soon be in her arms.
She woke the next day in excitement. Finally, she'd have you! Finally, she'd be able to hug you and kiss you and love on you.
She put on the best outfit she had and arrived at school. She looked through the halls, desperate to find you.
Once she had spotted your (H/C) hair and large, gargoyle wings, she rushed to you.
Sirena stood at a distance and waited for you to walk. Once you had, she began walking in your direction, acting oblivious to where she was going.
Your chests collided, and she looked at you in feigned surprise.
"Oh my God!" You yelped, and you hurriedly bent down to pick up her books. When you had handed them to her, she noticed the deep blush firming on your cheeks.
So her assumption was right!
"I'm so sorry." You said anxiously. "I really am so, so sorry!"
"Don't be." She smiled. "You're fine, no worries."
