From every day then on, Kyle spent all of his time in Stan's hospital room. He slept there, he ate there, he only went home to take a shower, which he didn't do too often as he was petrified to leave his crush all alone. Cartman came in every day and gave Kyle the work for the day to do so he didn't fail.
When his family came back, the boy's parents were devastated. They knew how much Kyle loved the boy. Even Ike started crying. Sheila said that he could only stay over as much as he does if he takes care of his work, so that's what he did. Even Shelly came from college to visit. She acted like she hated him, but the girl had a special place in her heart for her turd brother.
Everybody came to visit including Butters and even Jimmy! Kenny came weekly and Kyle was just there every single day. Every day felt like forever as he prayed to God to wake his friend up.
Kyle had gotten out of bed to check on Stan in the middle of the night. He hated being separated from him, because they had to put him in a different room to sleep in at night. Kyle was so antsy and wanted to spend every second with his best friend. He leaned over and sang to Stan his favorite song of those Kyle rarely sang to him, (start the song here) I Can't Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis Presley. Stan loved when Kyle sang. Of course, Kyle sang very rarely, but Stan thought his voice was angelic and savored every moment of it.
"Wise men say"
Kyle had gotten Stan a new guitar for Christmas
"Only fools rush in"
He had hated to admit it,
"But I can't help"
But sometimes he doubted himself that Stan would live.
"Falling in love with you"
So he didn't think it would do any harm to open the gift for him
"Shall I stay"
Unraveling the stupid striped Christmas wrapper,
"Would it be a sin"
He pulled out the brand new electric guitar he had got his best friend.
"If I can't help"
He spent months working his ass off to give it to him.

And now that he finally had it,

Stan couldn't even see it

He took out the cool puck he got him too.
"Darling, so it goes"
He reached under the covers and grabbed his friend's hand.

It was all blistered from strumming without a puck.
"Take my hand"
He kissed it softly and concentrated on the guitar again
"Take my whole life too"
He turned the knobs at the top,

And began strumming softly

Kyle sat in shock as Stan touched his hand

He saw the boy's eyes open for the first time in months
"Take my hand"
"STAN?!!"
"Take my whole life, too"
The doctors rushed in
"For I can't help"
But this time Kyle wouldn't let go of his friend.
"Falling in love with you"
He kissed him softly, grabbing his lips as Stan moaned into them weakly.
"For I can't help"
The doctors shot lots of epidurals into the boy

When they left, Kyle and Stan had been making out on the bed. Kyle cried hard as Stan groaned. They were both crying. Kyle pulled away and looked into his love's glassy eyes. "I love you." Stan told him, coughing as he put a hand on the boy's cheek. Kyle grabbed his friend's hand and placed the puck into it softly. "Wanna be my boyfriend?"
