{Many, Many Years Later}

~Darius POV~

"Darling, I can't believe we're both going to be coven heads!" Adrian exclaimed.

"Yeah." I told him. "it's exciting."

Adrian and I have been married for about 2 years now. He was made head witch of the illusion coven a few months ago. Eber's still with me, though he and Adrian do not like each other. Eber's the only person I have left from our old group. Though I've reconnected with Lilith, she and I aren't exactly friends. She told me what she did to her sister, that she was the one who cursed Eda.

The coven heads made their way to the stage and I followed.

~Alador POV~

"They're announcing the new head of the abomination coven, Dear." Odalia told me.

Yes, I married Odalia and yes, I regret it. I was going to leave her a year ago but she got pregnant and I didn't want to abandon the kid. Turned out 1 kid was actually 2.

I picked up Edric and Emira from the ground where they were crawling then I went to watch the coven head ceremony.

"You know that's why we have a butler and a nanny, right? You don't have to actually hold those heathens." Odalia scoffed at me.

"It's important for a parent to give their kids ample attention, especially in the development stages such as newborn, infant, toddler, and adolescent. It builds trust in later stages such as teen and adult." I told her. "Don't you want to have a healthy relationship with the children, Odalia?"

She shrugged and turned up the crystal ball's volume.

"We're pleased to announce Darius Deammone as the new head witch of the animation coven!" The announcer said.

Darius joined a coven? When? Why? While I'd usually rub Odalia's face in it that she was wrong about people in my old friend group going nowhere, I couldn't do it. Anger boiled inside me. He joined a coven? After everything he said and did? Everything I said and did to make up for joining one? What the fuck?!

{A Few Hours Later}

I went into the nursery to check how Edric and Emira are. Both were awake.

"Hi, little ones." I greeted, reaching into the crib. "Aren't you two just adorable?"

I picked up both babies. They giggled and grabbed at my hair.

"Let's not pull daddy's hair, okay?" I told them, as I sat in the rocking chair in the corner of the room.

The two babbled nonsensically.

"Are you trying to tell me something?" I asked, rocking back and forth in the rocking chair.

{An Hour And A Half Later}

Both the babies fell asleep so I got up to put them back in their cribs.

"Alador! What are you doing?!" Odalia shouted, entering the nursery.

"Putting the twins to bed." I answered.

"Ugh. I've told you, we have a butler and a nanny to do all that 'parenting' nonsense." She snapped.

The babies started to make sounds and wake up.

"Shh...it's alright...go back to sleep." I whispered to them, gently rocking them.
