CHAPTER FIVE: Dark

Everything was pitched black where I was. I was wandering around somewhere. Everything was black.

Till, a monster appeared before my eyes. Everything slowly came back to me. It was the same monster that we saw, the one that...

Killed our friend.

I witnessed everything, I didn't do anything. I watched it happen, I could have helped. I could have called the military.

But I didn't, my body. This stupid scared body wouldn't.

Why did I have to be so scared, everything again turned dark till I felt something pull me up into the air.

The sphere had held me, I deserve this. But I don't want to die.

I shook my head violently, please somebody.

Save me...

My wet eyes fluttered open, "where," I muttered as I looked around. "Am I?"

I pulled my hand to my face and brushed these tears off, was it all a dream. I thought.

I slowly tried to get up but a shark pain in my back hit me, I let out a shriek.

I felt someone rush to my side, they held a hand on my back and brought me up.

"Are you okay?" a deep voice asked as I looked up.

It was Lee Choon-Ho, "I'm fine.." I muttered trying to not make him more worried.

He sighed as he kneeled over to me, "Y/N, you have to tell me if you're hurt anywhere." He said to me while looking at my body with his sharp eyes.

I looked away, "it's just my back, I'm sure it's nothing."

He placed a hand on my shoulder, "can you let me check?" He pulled a medkit on the patient's bed I was sitting on.

I nodded as I tried to turn around but he stopped me, "you don't need to move," he stated as he sat behind me.

I felt him lift my t-shirt up, I felt his breath slowly stop. "what is it?" I asked as he didn't respond.

I felt his hand place onto my back waist, "does it hurt here?"

I closed my eyes, "not that much.." It really did hurt.

I felt his hand Continue moving till his hand accidently hit a spot that hurts.

I flinched, "Y/N I'm sorry." he said as I nodded. Why was I nervous to speak?

"The sphere seemed to put a mark over your body." he states, making my heart drop, so it was real. It wasn't a dream.

I stayed quiet, I know if I talked I would have surely cried.

"It won't heal too soon." he said as I heard him grab the medkit.

"Could you hold your shirt up?" he asked not in a rude way. I obeyed.

I unbuttoned the three buttons on the bottom of my shirt and held it up just to find an unexpected injury across my waist.

The sphere left a harsh bruise across my waist, I felt Lee Choon-Ho apply something.

" It's gonna hurt." he warned me as I responded trying to forget the pain, "what time is it?"

I looked at the window beside us to see that it was really dark, no sun shown, just the moon and the spheres.

"It should be around 12?" he questioned himself, I think he didn't know either.

I sighed, "how long was I out," I asked as he started bandaging my waist up.

"3 hours, the pain and the shock lead you to faint." he told me, leaving me with a soulless nod.

"Can I ask you something?" I looked up at him as I found that he finished bandaging my wound, he let out a nervous nodd.

Seemed like he knew what I was gonna ask.

"we're here because of the spheres right..," I managed to say looking at him.

He looked down, "yeah, you'll be under training tomorrow because of the spheres."

I sighed, "but why didn't anyone warn us?" I asked, "or at least told us beforehand."

He stayed quiet.

"please..." I muttered as he started walking away, "you can stay here tonight if you feel unwell." he states but I got up bearing the pain.

"i'll go to my dorm." I said more like asking him, "do you need a hand?" he asked me but I shook my head.

"I'm fine, I need to get stronger anyways." I said, "I don't want the spheres to get to anyone."

He nodded understandingly and surprised, I made my way to my dorm slowly.

I could hear footsteps following me from behind, Lee Choon-Ho I'm fine I promise I mentally saif in my head as I assumed it was him.

I slowly walked up the stairs as I could feel my energy draining. I shook it off.

I was near the girls dorm, I was at the boys.

I slid open the boys dorm door slowly, I just wanted to know it was true.

I walked in looking at every bed, they were all taken except one. I walked over to the empty one, it was really empty.

He was really gone, I fell quietly on the floor as my heart started to best painfully like crazy.

I stayed there for a moment thinking and praying.

I got up and rushed out of the dorm and shut the door to be met by Lee Choon-Ho, "Y/N you can't tell anyone about what happened." he said as I could feel tears in my eyes but I held them.

"I won't, I promise." I said as I walked to the over side of the corridor into the girls dorm.

My lips shivered as I made it to my mattress, before I noticed I was already crying.

I rolled myself up with my blanket and cried myself quietly to sleep.

I shouldn't have come.
