[AN] this would have been up earlier if I didn't get sidetracked by a Harry Potter marathon... Heh. Hope you guys enjoy!!

"Ms. Stoker. You have been informed that this location is strictly confidential, except to those who go here and those who sign the forms requesting admittance, correct?" A stern voice sounds out from the room I just entered. When I walked in the doors are closed by the person who led me here before anyone said a word.

"Yes sir, I have," I say, "it was very clear in the contracts and I was reminded as I got here."

"Then why did we receive this today?" The same man who took me here stood behind a desk and pushed a box for me. The package doesn't have a return address.

"I, uh. I have no idea. No one knew about this place except me and my grandfather. I told everyone else I was moving but not where," I say really confused.

He pauses for a moment.

"Open it," he says sternly.

"W-wait. What if it's a bomb or something," I hesitate.

"Then that's on you because you told someone where this place is," he says giving me a glare showing he really isn't playing around.

I bite my lip nervously and pull the tape off slowly. I look at the box carefully. I see a thin almost invisible wire in the middle of the tape and I look at it carefully.

"So, if this is a bomb what do I do when it explodes?" I ask.

"What makes you think it's a bomb?" He says.

I point out the thin wire.

"If I remove the tape any more it's going to pull that wire and it's probably hooked up to some sort of mechanism. If they tried to make it invisible the mechanism is probably dangerous."

"She passed," he says holding down his ear. I realize it's an earpiece.

"This was a test?" I ask knowing the answer already.

"Yes Ms. Stroker. This is a test we give every new student here to test what kind of person they are. Do they blindly follow orders? Do they ignore them? Do they have their own ideas and think for themselves?" He says to me.

"What happens if they do open the box then?" I ask curiously.

He walks over and opens the box up releasing a really loud banging noise and smoke.

"It scares them, no one gets hurt," he says honestly, shrugging casually.

"Oh. By the way. Your grandfather left a package for you when he left. He said its from a girl back home. I don't remember the name. Let me grab it for you," he says disappearing into the hallway. A minute later he is back holding an open box,"

"We had to open it. Safety precautions. Here you go," he says handing it to me. I eye it cautiously not sure if I should trust him. He just laughs and sets it down on the table so I can inspect it.

"Smart choice, but it's safe. I promise you," he says. I still take my time checking and then I pick it up.

"Um, so do I go back to class?"I ask holding the box in my arms.

"No, go to your room if you'd like. I'll excuse you from classes for the day, seeing how you seem to be the type who won't trust the staff for a little while now. He smiles at me and opens the door for me to leave.

"Yeah, can you really blame me for that though?" I say as I walk out into the hallway. I realize I'm not entirely sure where I am. I turn around to ask how to get to the dorms, but he has already closed the door and disappeared into the office. I sigh to myself and start wandering the halls looking for something familiar. After a long time of aimless wandering, I give up. I sit down on an empty staircase.
