The school year has gone on for 5 weeks so far, and Sonic has slowly started to come out of his depression. Slowly, but good so far, thanks to Nate. Even Sonic's friends have noticed this slow improvement, including Amy.

Right now, it's a Saturday night, and with the Hedgehog Family, they are becoming glad to see Sonic coming out of his depression, even though it was a bit slow.

"Well, it seems Sonic is definitely going back to his old self." said Jules, "Even though it's a slow process."

"Yeah, Nate's really doing great with helping Sonic at school." said Aleena.

"I agree." said Jules, "If this keeps up, Sonic won't be depressed anymore."

Meanwhile, in Sonic's bedroom, Nate is with Sonic, and they are talking about Sonic's slow change in mood.

"So, Sonic." said Nate, "How are you feeling, now that I've been helping you come out of your depression?"

"I'm slowly feeling better." Sonic replied, a bit less gloomy, "I just don't know why Sally won't help me at all."

"Wait, you know Sally?" Nate asked, and Sonic replied, "Yeah. She's my current girlfriend, or... I think she's my girlfriend."

"Why do you say that?" Nate asked, "Doesn't she love you?" "Honestly, I don't know, Nate." Sonic replied sadly, "I mean, for the past years, she doesn't want to be around me a lot of times. It's like she thinks that I'm not real."

"Maybe it's because she's hiding something from you." Nate suggested, "Like it's something that could possibly make you miserable, even more than what you were until 5 weeks ago when I started helping you."

"I don't know, Nate." said Sonic, "But if I find out that Sally was hiding something from me the whole time, she and I are through."

"I'm guessing that means you're breaking up with her?" Nate asked, and Sonic replied, "Yeah. It means I'm breaking up with her."

"I see...." said Nate, "Well, I'm heading home, Sonic. It was great helping you with your homework yesterday and helping you overcome your depression today."

"Yeah, thanks, Nate." said Sonic, "I'll see you later."

"See ya, Sonic." Nate said, then he left the bedroom.

Later, Sonic was now in his bed, and he thought about Nate's continuing help in getting him out of his depression.

"Nate's really a good friend...." he said, "Maybe at some point, I can reconcile with my friends..... and..... Amy....." But when he thought of Amy, it triggered a terrible memory from the past, and it made him cry...

The first quarter of the Senior Year of High School went by for Sonic, Nate and their friends, and now it's the month of November, and 2 days before December starts, and Mr. Beast was really happy to hear that Sonic's doing great this year thanks to Nate's help in getting him out of his depression. Right now, Nate is in the Principal's office with Sonic, and they are lead by Jimmy to the therapist room, and they are met by a brown owl who wore an ancient-style outfit.

"And here we are, the therapist's office." said Jimmy, then Nate saw the Owl, and asked the principal, "Uh, Mr. Beast, who's the owl?"

"Well, Nate." said Jimmy, "I'd like you to meet Longclaw the Owl, our school therapist."

"It's really nice to meet the new friend of Sonic." said Longclaw, and Nate said, "It's nice to meet you too, Ms. Longclaw. But why am I here with Sonic?"

"You see, Nate, before you came to the school, Longclaw has been helping Sonic get over his depression, and while she's really good, it mostly fails for Sonic." Jimmy explained, "Also, I should mention that she's a real close friend of Mr. and Mrs. Hedgehog."
