It was Friday evening, the day of reunion for our college batch. I'm not really going to participate for this but then I heard someones name for the first time in a while, and I thought I should go to see if that person would be here. Am I hoping?
Akala ko ba iiwasan na natin siya?
'Are you going to use her again?'
Marahas akong napailing sa bulong ng aking isipan. Matagal din akong nag stay sa loob ng sasakyan ko bago napagpasyahang lumabas at harapin sila.
There's a lot of them, maraming bati ang sumalubong sa akin. Most of them are my friends back then na biglang nawalan ng communication after graduation. Although all of us are still on good terms I guess.
"Nice to see you here Shan" napalingon ako at tiningnan ang babaeng bumati sa akin. Sinuklian ko siya ng matamis na ngiti.
"Prim!" She opened her arms wide expecting for a hug. Of course hindi na ako nagpatumpik pa at hinagkan ang babae. She was one of my bestfriend during college. Primrose Smith.
"How are you? Gosh you aged like fine wine Shan" hinila nito ako sa isang tabi at doon kami nag-usap.
"I'm good. How about you? After graduation you flew off to another country" may pagtatampong tanong ko. I was really sad by her sudden dissappearance after our celebration. Nalaman ko nalang kinabukasan na umalis ito ng bansa.
She held my hands "I'm sorry, actually I was offered to work at one of the major clothing line industry as their fashion designer. You know its my dream right? I've been sending my works to them since first year and finally someone noticed my work. So I chase my dream" naluluhang saad nito. I felt happy for her. I was there through her countless nights of working towards her dream. Never could I imagined she would achieve it but of course I don't doubt she wouldn't she got all the talent and hardwork anyway.
"What is the name of the company Prim?" I got curious.
"It's Ziegler" napatakip ako ng bibig. Omy I am so happy for her
"Omy you did not!" Hindi makapaniwala kong reaksyon.
She just shrugged "Well it is"

Nagcatch up pa kami ng ilang sandali hanggang sa dumating din ang iba, which is mga kaibigan niya dati sa department nila. Prim belong to the Department of Design while I belong to the Department of Fine Arts. Nagkakilala kami sa isang event ng mga first years kasama na rin ang iba't ibang department doon. We are competing against each other but that doesn't mean na hindi namin maaappreciate ang gawa ng bawat isa. In the end hindi naman kami nanalong mga first year kundi ang mga seniors lang namin.
Since I was left alone as usual, I was just minding my own business, drinking a couple of shots and getting ready to leave the reunion when I was interrupted by a group of people.
Napataas ang kilay ko noong makilala ang mga taong nasa
harapan ko ngayon.
"Shannon, you're already leaving?" asked the cheerleader from college, who seemed to be the leader of the group.
