TW: This chapter contains an accident at sea including unconsciousness and wounds.
Alessia
As soon as I got out of the cab, grabbed my stuff -which included a tiny suitcase and an equally small bag only- and paid the driver, I literally ran down the street, which was between dozens of palm trees and illuminated by the setting sun, toward one of the many beach houses. No, not houses. Mansions.
I deeply inhaled the warm ocean air and walked up the entrance stairs which led to the breathtaking mansion where I'd live the next weeks.
A smile appeared on my face as I looked up to the roof.
The beach house consisted of white wooden panels, large windows, and a brownish roof and contained three floors, the third being a converted attic.
I grabbed the key and entered. Putting my baggage away, I continued to run through the beach house, through the many doors until finally through the patio door and literally jumped down the stairs that led to the beach.
My smile widened as I took off my flip-flops, gray tank top and shorts.
Wearing the dark red bikini I had put on earlier, I raced towards the open blue sea where numerous waves were rolling over after I grabbed a surfboard that was placed next to the beach house.
Although it was already late in the evening, it was still warm and many people were playing beach volleyball or swimming in the sea. I swam further, then trying to get on top of the board. Well, bad idea.A huge wave was rolling over at that moment, dragging me away. I held my breath but I lost the orientation. Shit. Wherever I looked, I only saw blue. This escalated quickly. My heartbeat fastened. I noticed I wouldn't be able hold my breath any longer. I tried to find the surface. Without success. It can't be... I panicked and then, after quite a while, there was nothing.
...
I tried to open my eyes and noticed two pairs of eyes staring right at me. I blushed. Shit. One pair as blue as the ocean and another one amber brown.
For a moment I forgot about everything but then it hurt and I squinted my eyes in pain. Did that really happen?Beads of water dripped from the blue eyed guy's pitch-black hair and the brown eyed guy's auburn hair. Looking ahead, I recognized the black haired guy's sharp jawline and the silver necklace that had a key as a pendant.
The other guy stood up and disappeared from my view.I let my eyes wander and noticed that the black haired guy's well-trained body was not covered, he was wearing only shorts.
My body almost was pressed against his six-pack and his biceps was flexing. Suddenly he looked down at me, saw me eyeing him and grinned.
I noticed I had been put down on a towel in the sand.
Lingering over me, he stroked wet strands of hair from my face.»Got you pretty bad, huh?«
He said and I was not sure if he talked about his appearance or the accident. I nodded my head. I couldn't stop looking at him.»I need you to take a deep breath now, alright?«
I didn't know what he was talking about but the next second pain filled my leg.
I grabbed the guy's hand and squeezed it in pain. I bit my lip and squinted my eyes.Something touched my mouth and I realized he was kissing me. His left hand was squeezed by my right one and with his other hand he grabbed my left hand and pinched it down on the sand. His closeness drove me crazy, his scent soothing.
The pain disappeared and he smiled into the kiss, then pulled away slowly.»Good girl«
he said and sat down next to me.In the corner of my eye I noticed a movement and realized the other guy had treated a bloody wound on my thigh. He too sat down, next to my no longer painful thigh.
His smile revealed his dimples and with his amber eyes he looked directly at me. He was also wearing only shorts and was just as trained as the guy who had just kissed me. Both of them were tanned.»Quite a troublemaker you are, Alessia« the black haired guy said. I tilted my head in confusion. I was about to ask how he could know my name but he nodded toward my neck.
I realized I was wearing a necklace with my name written on it. I was suddenly aware of my nakedness and my necklace seemed to hang between my breasts.
They eyed me but not in an awkward way. It was like they were admiring me.
I bit my lip in nervousness.
The guy who kissed me reached for a shirt that was placed next to us and handed it to me.
»Take this. If you keep biting your lip I might have to kiss you again to stop you from doing that but this time I wouldn't pull away.«
My heart skipped a beat as I reached for the shirt. I put it on and noticed it smelled just like him.»You'd look better in mine« the brown haired guy said. He grabbed my hand and placed a kiss on its back.
»Connor« he introduced himself. With a nod toward the guy who seemed to be his friend, he said »Alexander.««Alex it is» he made clear.
»Well it's nice to meet you« I said and smiled at them. »And thanks for rescuing me« I added and bit my lip again. I'm not ashamed. Or am I? Isn't it embarrassing being so dramatic? I didn't notice I lowered my head and looked at my painted toenails until a thumb lifted my chin so that I looked directly at Alex. His gaze wandered to my lips.
»Do it. Whatever's on your mind, do it« I whispered and he smirked.
»Can't do that, Lessie« he whispered back.
»Not yet« I responded, half a question, half a statement.
His smile widened. My heartbeat fastened.
Someone cleared their throat and we noticed Connor looking at us with narrowed eyes.
»It's late. You should ho get some rest« Alex said, looking at my thigh.
I nodded although I wanted to stay. I got up and wiped off the sand.»Will I see you again?« I asked.
»You can see us whenever you want« Connor said. »Would be a pleasure.«
»I mean Alex needs his shirt back, right?« I responded.
»It suits you« he said as he stood up as well, walked toward me and placed a quick kiss on the tip of my nose.
»Sleep well, Lessie.«
»Sleep well« I whispered back.
I waved goodbye to Connor and trudged back feeling dizzy. Holy moly.Heyy :)
