Chapter 04: Don't Take It Out On The Candy

*Emiko's POV*

Ichigo did what she said she would do, which was to go back to the room we were placed in when we first got here and eat the rest of her food before taking a nap, and Ayumi and Sakura went to explore the building. I haven't got a clue where Yui is.

I was skipping down the hallway with Usagi-chan while singing a happy tune, despite the gloomy atmosphere this place is giving off.

🎶I want candy
I want candy~🎶

"A-Azusa...what did you want to show me?"

I stop skipping and singing to watch Yui enter Azusa's bedroom before the door slammed shut.

I glanced down as Usagi-chan in confusion before looking back at Yui. "What is it that he wants to show her? If Sakura, Ayumi, and Ichigo were here, they would immediately think of something inappropriate in this situation, but since it's Azusa, and I just remembered what's about to happen, I know for a fact it's nothing along those kind of lines."

"Oi, pipsqueak. Have you seen where Azusa had wandered off to?" Yuma asked from behind me.

I turned around and pointed to Azusa's room. "He's in there with Yui right now. Mine and Usagi-chan's guess is that he's showing her his knife collection, and most likely wants to use one of them to hurt her."

He looked at me strangely. "How would you know that? You've only known us about a day."

"Usagi-chan and I, as well as my sisters, had learned a few things about you and your brothers through Karlheinz." I lied, but I swear Usagi-chan, I have a reason to!

"Whatever." He shrugged his shoulders. "But shouldn't you go in there and stop him from doing just that if you know what he's about to do and what he's capable of?"

"Of course I want to go in there and stop him, but I can't just waltz in with Usagi-chan without a plan to go with. That is Sakura's area of expertise. Not mine."

Yuma stared down at me for a moment before shrugging his shoulders and walking away. "Whatever. Try not to die is all I'm gonna say. I don't give a shit as long as I get to drink blood from either you, or those other bitches."

Something in my head clicked.

"WhAt DiD yOu SaY?"

I have no idea what happened.

One minute, I was growling at Yuma, then the next thing I knew, I threw him out of Azusa's window. All I saw was red for a split second.

Fortunately for Yuma, he landed in one of his tomato bushes.

Yui gasped and looked at me wide eyed. "Emiko?"

I put ok a fake closed-eye smile. "Oops, sorry about that. Guess I don't know my own strength sometimes." I noticed Azusa's hand bleeding, and a long knife on the floor by Yui's foot.

"You...interrupted us...." He spoke slowly. "But I guess it's fine...now that I...feel some pain...and I drank the blood of one of the Eve's..."

It's only now that I notice a couple of bite marks on Yui's neck. Some blood is still pouring out of the bite marks.

I rummaged through my pocket and pulled out a couple of bandaids. I walked over to Yui and placed one over the bite mark on her neck, and another bandaid on her left shoulder. "That should help cover them up."

I opened Azusa's door and gestured for her to leave. "Go and take a bath and have a rest. I'll deal with him."

Yui hesitated before nodding. "O-Okay. Thank you, Emiko." She bowed before running out of the room as quick as she could.
