All was silent in the stagnant car, each person looking nowhere in particular, but each

still had the commonality of avoiding the other's gaze at all costs.

"I'm sorry, but...what the fuck?" exclaimed Jim.

"What do you mean, what the fuck? She was sent to kill us!" Mia exclaimed staring out the window.

"What about this bitch, whatever the hell her name was who sent the asshole?" asked Sam.

"I'm glad she killed her, she was just waiting for her head to get smashed in."

"Fuck off, Chad!"

"Let's just forget about it," Jim says with an angry tone. The car settled into silence as tears streamed down Mia's face.

"Mia?" Sam asked in surprise.

"What?" she asked angrily, wiping at the wetness on her face. Her movements were stiff and shock laden. The foursome drove on for an hour before the Iron Horse began to sputter around them.

"You've got to be kidding me." Chad said, stepping out of the car. He swiftly lifted the lid with a creak, and was met with a burst smoke, billowing from the car's various nuts and bolts. "Shit!" he exclaimed, kicking the side of the car.

"What is it?" Jim asked, peeking out the window.

"What does it look like, shithead?" Chad grunted, assaulting the side of the car once again.

"Stop yelling, you might call something over. We obviously don't have this piece of junk's protection anymore." Sam scolded.

"Why shouldn't I? It's not like we can survive without it anyway! We might as well die right now!" He continued to scream, face turning redder by the second. Suddenly, as Chad kicked the driver's door hard enough to leave a dent, the ground below him began to shake.

"Now you've done it, smart ass." Mia grumbled, exiting the car and pulling her blood drenched hammer from the trunk, fastening it onto her back. "Well, you guys coming? I'd rather not be eaten today."

At her words, the other three sprang from their spots and to their friend's side, all running for their lives.

"So, um, about that 'might as well die right no-"

"Fuck off, Chad!" the others exclaimed in unison. The ground below them continued to crumble as the Mama screeched behind them.

"There's no way we could out run her without the Iron Horse." said Sam, noticing their depletion in speed as exhaustion began to set in.

"Do you...want to try and kill it?" Chad asked, considering their options.

"What are our chances?" Sam asked.

"Better than if we...were to...waste all our energy running...from the damn thing," Mia huffed, her shit stamina showing itself.

"Fair point. SHOW NO WEAKNESS!" Jim battle cried before taking off in the opposite direction. The other three exchanged glances of annoyance and disbelief before taking off after him.

"Jim, you idiot!" Sam called, readying her swords. He didn't stop, of course. Doing just the opposite, he revved his weapon before slashing at the creature's side. It roared in pain before grabbing at Jim's arm, leaving a nasty gash.

"Jim!" Chad called leaping up and slashing at the Mama's chest. The creature seemingly unaffected, slapping Chad away before taking Jim in its grasp. Jim began to scream as the Mama raised him to its mouth and devoured him whole.

"Oh shit oh shit oh shit-" Sam mumbled as she began to aimlessly scratch at the beast, tears filling her eyes. The Mama's claws came down for another victim, just missing Sam as Mia pushed her out of the way. It was Chad's turn to act recklessly, as he again jumped into the beast, harder and faster in attempt to make a deeper cut. He landed on its back, going to slash at its neck, but before he could, the Mama slapped at him like a mosquito, pushing him into its rolls of neck fat.

"Agh!" Chad struggled for air as he continued to slash at the monster's neck from his fatty straight jacket. Finally, the monster managed to pick him from his back, and had him staring at the horror that was the creature's face.

"Chad!" the two cried from the ground, doing all they could to tear at the Mama's legs, but she couldn't be distracted from her meal.

"Guys!" he yelped, struggling in the creature's grasp. "I just want to say, I'll miss you. At least I'll be with Drew..." and with those last words, the Mama gave him a worse fate than his friends. It ate him in two sloppy bites: the first stopping at his hips, spraying his blood across the the ground, and the second taking the rest of him. All the other two could do was watch helplessly, mindlessly stabbing at the monster's legs.

As the beast finished his chewing, grinding up the remains of their dear friend, Mia and Sam stood in shock.

"Oh my god holy shit Sam what do we do?!" Mia screamed, frantically tugging at Sam's arm. "What do we do?!"

"Oh fuck oh shit I don't-" Sam started shaking, until she snapped herself back to reality. "We need to fucking go! Right now! We don't fucking have time!"

Before Mia could protest, Sam picked her up and ran. Despite her struggling kicks and punches, Sam hardly felt a thing - adrenaline ran through her veins as fast as she was running away from the Mama.

"Sam, stop! We can't just leave them! We have to help them!" Sam didn't answer as she continued to drag a struggling Mia into the desert.
