The room fell silent. Both boy's jaws dropped after the doctor uttered those two words. Budo looked at Taro, who was looking at his doctor.

"Are... a-are you sure?" the petrified boy asked.

"Well, have you been sexually active in the last couple of weeks?"

Taro blushed at the question. He looked to Budo, who was thinking the same thing. "Ronshaku's party," the martial artist whispered, his eyes wide as saucers.

Taro nearly had the wind knocked out of him. He had been trying to bury that night in the pits of his mind, for nothing good came out of it. The bullying, the stress, and now... a baby? That can't be! Or can it...?

"When was the last time you menstruated?" his doctor then asked.

Taro blushed even more. "Like... a few weeks ago, I think."

The woman sighed to herself. "Well, you can take a urine test if you're struggling to believe it, but if it's true that you and Masuta-San have been sexually active, a pregnancy was always a possibility. Did you use any contraceptives?"

Taro was in too much shock to answer. At first, he didn't believe it, or at least he didn't want to, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. It was entirely possible that he and Budo conceived that night, no matter how much he tried to deny that perhaps it didn't happen.

Seeing the shock his boyfriend was in, not being able to respond to his doctor's question, Budo answered for him while rubbing his back to calm his heavy breathing down. "We're not exactly sure what happened the night it... happened. We went to a classmate's party, where we suspected the punch was spiked. The next morning we woke up in my bed naked with a very limited memory of the party."

The doctor nodded to this information. "I see. When was this party?"

Budo looked up, trying to remember the date on the invitation. "May... 13th, I believe."

She nodded again. "Well then Taro-San is only a couple weeks along, which means it's still too early to have an ultrasound."

Budo looked at Taro again, who was looking down at his stomach. This whole time, Taro was with little one... his little one. Budo thanked the heavens above that the child wasn't Ayato's, or else he would have regretted actually feeling sorry for ending his life.

Taro gingerly placed his hand on his belly, where his and Budo's baby was growing. This... this wasn't supposed to happen. Not yet! They just survived the wrath of a sociopath, but now in the next nine months they're gonna be parents? Taro's entire mind became overwhelmed with questions about what was going to happen. He started to feel lightheaded.

"Taro, are you okay?" Budo asked worryingly. Taro reached up and held his head, causing the doctor to react.

"I'll get you a cup of water," she quickly said, before crossing the room to the water jug.

Budo pulled Taro toward him and allowed him to rest his head against his chest. The martial artist rubbed his boyfriend's arm up and down, holding him gently. "Love... are you alright?"

"They're going to kill me."

Budo looked down at him. "Who?"

"Here," the doctor came over and handed Taro a cup of water. He sat up and took it, mumbling a thank you. The doctor then left the room, leaving them alone to discuss this shocking discovery.

"Taro, who are you talking about?" Budo asked, rubbing his back.

"My parents, Budo. Who else?" Taro snapped, his voice aggravated. All he could think about was his parents' livid reaction. They didn't even know that he and Budo were a couple, but now he'll have to tell them on top of telling them they're gonna be grandparents!
