"Shuriken... are you sure this is a good idea?" You turned to look at him. There was a steep, deep edge in the middle of this forest. The sharp and edged rocks and boulders at the bottom really shimmered He wanted to go there nearby to show you a bit of his home, though his home was somewhere up a mountain near here. You didn't want to climb, so he decided to just show you a piece of it from afar.
"Of course. It's why we're here." He was confident in himself, he casually walked across the wall of rocks over to you. "It's just how willing you are to trust me on this is how the way's gonna go." Shuriken gives a reassuring smile as you squint to the side in concern. "I promise, I won't let you get hurt."
"Ehm.." You then hesitate. You don't necessarily want to risk anything, but it's Shuriken. Surely, he's got something in mind in order to get past this, right? You then just sigh and look back at him. You've somewhat made up your mind. "Okay, as long as we aren't trying to go down there." You look to the pit, the deepness made your body shake a little. The other seems relaxed, he only pats you on the shoulder.
"Relax", he says. "I'll be doing the work, and all you have to do is hang on and look pretty." He boops your nose. You could only squint again.
"Is this really the time for compliments?" You say flatly. You still endlessly stare at the pit in a bit of anxiousness, while Shuriken bends down slightly.
"Yeah, and you probably need them to relax. Hope you don't mind it, hot stuff." He replies with a smug little look, booping your nose. You only rolled your eyes with a chuckle. "Now c'mon! Hop on!"
"I'm going on your back?" You ask, you tilted your head.
"Yep!" He grinned. "No need to be shy, I'm sure you can't be that heavy."
"Hmph. We'll see about that." You cross your arms. You still oblige, walking over to him as he sets you onto his back with a piggyback ride. Shuriken takes a few steps back, turning his head to you slightly.
"Ready?" He asked with a smile.
"I guess--?" As soon as the reply came from your mouth, he rushed off the pit, soon clinging onto one of the walls. You nearly yelp, gripping onto his chest tightly. He seemed to be enjoying this, him doing his maneuvers with no sweat at all. He used his grapple to cling onto another rock wall, hefting you up behind him with one arm.
"You alright back there?" He asked.
"Yeah." You say, loosening the grip. "It's safe to touch the ground now, right?"
"Mmm..." Shuriken hummed with an unsure tone. He tilted his head in his thoughts. "I'mmm not so sure, actually. Walking seems a little thin, don't you agree?" The question made you stare down at the ground, soon seeing a narrow little ground there was on the side of you. The depths made you uncomfortable, you clinged onto him ever so slightly again seeing the steep road leading upwards. "Made you a little scared, huh? Need me to carry you some more?" He grinned smugly.
"You. Are doing this on purpose. Aren't you?" You say, your eyes narrowed in agitation and fear.
"I wouldn't say that, no." Shuriken only clicked his tongue, looking away with a little smile. Clearly, he was. You huff, soon getting off of his back. You didn't care how narrow it was, you felt like sucking it up now. Shuriken looked at you a little surprised, but that turned into a smile."I'll. Just deal with it." You grinned with the most fearful look on your face. Shuriken chuckled.
"At least let me guide you a little bit here." Shuriken smiled softly, putting his hand out to you. You stare at it for a moment, contemplating it. "I promised I wouldn't get you hurt, didn't I?" He added. You glared a little before taking the hand. The two of you walked carefully along the road. Each step made the rocky road feel light compared to your weight. The ground cracked a little bit on the side, your grip slightly tightened on Shuriken's hand. Shuriken gave you a glance of concern. "Hey." He said, looking back at you. "Focus on the road, alright? Just don't look down."
"Funny you say that now." You rolled your eyes, still continuing to shuffle. Shuriken looked to the side.
"Well, I'm sorry. You can't blame me for wanting to keep hold somebody so breathtaking, right~?" He shrugged with a sly smile. "Plus, it shouldn't be that hard for you to as long as you just keep it off your mind."
"It's fine..." You hesitated. "...But how can I do that?" You tilt your head.
"Well, just focus on something. Maybe someone?" Shuriken gave you a smug smile. You looked up at him with a sigh.
"You're really being extra right now, aren't you?" You asked with a chuckle. You looked away from him to the side with a huff, but there was still a visible smile.
"Obviously, but it helped, didn't it?" He said, his smile widened. He rubbed your hand comfortingly as he skipped up onto a new slate of ground. Finally. A good place where you can step normally. You didn't even realize you were still moving until the ground finally became wider. You looked a little surprised.
"I guess it did help." You replied to him. He only laughed, tugging you over to a wide little area in the center of the ground. There stood a quiet little area where there were towns and ponds set up all over. There were people causing a commotion behind the trees that covered them. The lands looked like they were flourishing a little bit, the colorful from the little streams and clothing that the people wore. It was yet quiet area could only be heard in the movements you saw from afar. You were shocked, really. "Wow... this looks so gorgeous!" your eyes glistened with amusement from the sight. "This is supposed to be a small part of Thieves Den?"
"Yep." Shuriken nodded proudly. "It's a lot more of that down there." He sat down, relaxing a bit. He patted the ground next to him, you joining right him on that spot. You rest your head on your arms, curling up your legs. Shuriken just admires the view along with you.
"Hey, Shuriken?" You look at him with a smile.
"Hm? Yeah?" He looked at you with a glance. You shuffled over.
"Thanks for showing me this." You reply, then pressing a little kiss onto his cheek. His cheeks flushed a little red, a little grin forming onto his face. He cupped your face, soon swooping in for a little kiss on the lips. He pulled a way with a soft smile.
"No problem." He could only say casually as you two had red faces. He leaned back on the rock with a sigh, relaxing and looking up at the sky. You remained focused on the little sneak peak at Thieves Den below.
"I could stay here forever.." you mumbled with a smile. Shuriken glanced at you.
"Aacctuaally, we should get going soon." He said. "People kinda guard this area so outsiders don't sneak in... also this kinda may beee private property?"
"Wait, what?"
Soon, a arrow zoomed past your head, your whole body immediately shot up in shock. There stood people pointing and yelling "Intruders!" Shuriken quickly grabbed your hand.
"Ready to take a risk?" He grinned.
"Well, not reallAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" You immediately yelled, Shuriken gripping onto you by the waist as he used his grapple to swing to another part of the wall out of sight. You clinged onto him for dear life once more, immediately rushing off once you reached ground to walk on. The two of you continued to run for it all the way back, Shuriken cackling and grinning as you laughed tiredly of exhaustion the entire time.
