"When tomorrow comes , I'll be on my own, Feeling frightened of, The things that I don't know, When tomorrow comes."
Flashlight - Jessie J
-Hayden-
"Zayn will no longer be apart of One Direction," Paul said. Gasps filled the room, everyone with either shocked or sad facial expressions.
"How is that even possible? He signed a contract! They all did!" Someone exclaimed. I looked to Harry, confused as to how this could be happening. Emma would die.
"Zayn is no longer happy, and we can't hold him against his will," Paul replied, clearly having rehearsed all the questions.
"What about the fans?" I asked. Everyone was thinking it, but nobody was brave enough to ask. I did.
"It's not up to them," Zayn said to me angrily. He looked annoyed, and apparently he chose me as his target.
"It's not up to them? Really? You and the boys have built yourselves this life that you all wanted, and you don't have the balls to stick with it for a while? Your contract is up soon, you can't stay in the game for just a little bit longer?" I didn't care honestly, but I just couldn't stop thinking about all the fans out there that would be devastated.
"It certainly isn't up to you either," he spit. Guess he didn't like being called out.
"Let's keep going, shall we?" Paul said, clearly wanting to get rid of the tension in the room.
"Hayden, it is your job to make sure anything that is said on the internet is deleted. This cannot get out until Zayn releases a statement,"
"What about magazines? I can't control them, and when they see everything is being deleted, don't you think they'll get curious?" None of this was working out in my head. This was all a stupid, stupid plan.
"You let us worry about that," he said, continuing down the line, telling each person their job with the situation. I zoned out, focusing on the way that Harry hadn't said a word this whole time, just stared at me. My lips, my eyes, my everything. He looked unbelievably sad, and I felt guilty for thinking it was about me.
No, idiot, a member of his band is quitting.
"Hayden, you ready to go?" Dad asked, already standing up and waiting for me.
"Yea dad, let's go," I stood up and grabbed my purse. I followed dad out of the room, turning towards the elevators. I turned around to try and search for Harry, but I couldn't see him anywhere.
"Hayden, which level are you parked on?" Dad asked, waiting to push the button.
"Two, thank you," I smiled a shy smile, looking down at my phone to see if Harry texted. He didn't.
"Alright kid, I'm on one, but I'll see you at home okay?" He grabbed me into a hug, kissing the top of my head.
"Bye dad, see you later," I walked out, grabbing my keys from my bag and waving bye to Josh. I unlocked my truck and opened the door when I felt someone near me. I turned around, trying to quickly and carefully get into my truck and lock it.
"Hayden, wait!" I heard, a hand grabbing the handle on the outside before I could shut it. Harry.
"Harry?" I breathed. "Do you need something?" I asked, still mad that he didn't tell me he was coming back.
"Yea, I do. Would you mind dropping me off at my house?" he asked nervously, seeing that I was upset.
"Sure, get in," I said, shutting my door and starting the ignition. A few seconds later I felt Harry hop in the passenger seat.
"Thank you Hayden," he said, grabbing onto my hand.
"It's nothing," I said, pulling my hand back to grab the wheel. I noticed how he frowned when I did that, when I had forced myself to not notice how I missed his warmth.
I drove out of the parking garage, pulling onto the highway. I turned to put on the radio when the silence and the smell of him seemed to over whelm me.
"Hayden, we need to talk,"

Honestly i have no idea if this is considered a short chapter, but compared to the rest of mine it's pretty short.
I would write longer, but a cliff hanger seems to be my best friend since i just got back from dinner with friends and i am exhausted
oh and everything with Zayn in this chapter- do not get mad please I didn't put my opinion in it anywhere, I was just trying to show a mutual side of things, nothing personal i promise
I LOVE YOU ALL
