"I won't hold my tongue. I'm not okay without you here. I guess what's done is done. I just feel so exposed without you near. And I won't say I'm okay, Cause you taught me not to lie, so know that I'll miss you everyday."
I Won't Say I'm Okay - Front Porch Step
-Hayden-
I woke up the next morning stiff and uncomfortable. Many things were wrong within the first couple seconds that I had opened my eyes. One being that Harry's legs were wrapped around mine in a tight grip. The other? The kids were not in my bed.
"Harry! Wake up, the k-" I stopped shaking Harry as soon as I saw a figure standing next to my bed. A figure holding a one year old and a five year old standing next to her.
"While I was out last night I found a nanny. You and I are going to meet him at the park today for lunch as a test run. You might want to go ahead and start getting ready," Tiffany told me with a light smirk on her face. She left the room while giving me a warning look in her eyes. A motherly look.
"Yes ma'am," I mumbled as I pushed the sheets away from me. "Harry, get up. I have to get ready," I said, shaking him again. He frowned at my shaking. The hand that was resting behind his head moved to grab my hand and pull me against him. I saw one of his eyes open as he pulled and understood that he was fully awake and aware of his actions. My hand flew out to push against his chest to stop anymore contact.
"Stop Harry, I have to get ready. I'm done with the kids now so you are no longer needed," I said as I pulled myself out of his grasp and got out of bed. "Can you get up so I can make my bed?" I asked, pulling my sheets up to the head of the bed under the pillows. I saw the bed shift and looked up at him to see his reaction. I saw him stretch out his long fingers before he started to help me make my bed. He looked up at me once we were done, hands on his hips expectantly.
"Where are you going?" he asked me, a crease showing up between his dark eyebrows.
"Not that it's any of your business, but Tiffany is making me go to the park with her and the kids to try out the nanny she met last night," I said as I walked into the bathroom to start getting ready.
"Oh, that's nice," he said. I saw out of the corner of my eye him walk closer to stand in my bathroom doorway, arms crossed over his chest.
"Yea, sure is," I didn't mention the fact that I would really miss spending my days with the kids.
"Can I ask you for a favor?" he asked me. That question always made me weary. Harry and that question together made my heart beat fast and beads of sweat to form on my forehead in nervousness.
"I guess," I answered. I grabbed my bottle of face wash from its spot under the sink and began to wash my face.
"Would you answer my texts and phone calls from now on?" he asked. He pushed himself off the door frame and went to sit on the closed toilet seat, never taking his eyes off me. I finished rinsing off my face and patted it dry as I thought about my answer.
"Only if you don't flirt with me. I can't have you saying no but acting as if it's a yes. Deal?" I asked. I folded my wash cloth back onto the hook and turned to face him with my hand outstretched for him to shake. Closing the deal.
"Deal," he told me. He grabbed my hand into a firm shake with a tiny smile gracing his lips.

"Let's go!" Isabella yelled. She let go of my hand and ran ahead of us, delighted by the vast land of the park and all the things she could do.
"Be careful!" Tiffany yelled at her. She had Kolt sitting on her hip and his diaper bag slung over the other while I pulled the "picnic basket". It was really just a huge cooler full with ice, food and drinks and a decent sized blanket folded over the top for us to sit on.
"Here, let's stop here. Go catch her before someone else does please," she told me. I pulled the cooler to a sitting position on the grass before speeding off to catch Isabella.
"Catch me! Red catch me!" she squealed at me. It didn't take long for me to catch up with her. I reached out for her and grabbed her waist, throwing her lightly in the air. I heard her pleased giggles and saw her huge smile as I caught her and threw her back. I smiled and giggled along with her, the happiness contagious.
"Excuse me?" I heard a deep voice say. It was a beautiful voice. Deep and full of authority but still soft and nonthreatening. I pulled Isabella's tiny but heavy body towards me and didn't let go when she wanted me to.
"Yes?" I asked, breathing heavily from the running and throwing. The man was the perfect definition of dark and mysterious. He had gorgeous brown hair that was gelled back and just the right amount of facial hair. His eyes were a magical shade of brown that seemed to pull me in and his smile was literally breathtaking. His lips had a cute little downward slant to it like he was frowning all the time and gosh they were just down right kissable. His smile snapped me out of my daydream.
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked him. I can't remember the last time I felt dizzy looking at someone.
Yes you can. It was when you met Harry.
"The little girl you're holding, she belongs to my aunt," he told me. Was that a smirk? Oh my God, was he checking me out?
"Oh yea. Her mom works for my dad and I've been watching the kids lately. You must be Joseph. Hi, I'm Hayden," I rushed out the words altogether, dumbstruck at the way I was acting around him. I stretched out my hand for him to shake.
"Hi, Hayden. It's nice to meet you," he said as he grabbed my hand to shake. I can't even begin to describe the way his skin felt when it touched mine. If this was a fairy tale, this would be the part where I dramatically swoon.
"Joseph!" I heard come from behind us. I saw Tiffany standing next to our laid out blanket, containers of food sat around onto of it. Isabella left me to start running to her mom.
"Let's go eat, shall we?" he asked. He gestured for me to go ahead of him.
"This ought to be interesting," I mumbled under my breath, hopefully in a soft enough voice where he couldn't here.
