Oh , where do we go now?

Sweet Child of Mine - Guns N' Roses

-Hayden-

"I'm here to help," Harry said, holding a bouncing Isabella.

"Yea well, I don't need your help. I've babysat plenty of times," I spoke, rather harshly.

"What do you plan on doing while you bathe one? Put the other in a play pen so they can't leave?" he asks. Yes, I had wondered the same thing, but I wasn't about to admit it to him.

"I'll figure it out," I said, setting Kolt down in his play pen. "Isabella isn't that young,"

"Come on, you bathe them, I'll dress the other and watch them," I thought about it, and it wasn't that bad of an idea. Plus, if I was busy giving baths, and he was busy dressing, then we wouldn't have time to talk. Right?

"Fine, I'll give Isabella a bath first," I picked up Kolt and put him in Harry's hands, taking Isabella's hand in my own and their clothes in the other. We all bounded up the stairs, Harry taking two at a time.

"Alright, just keep him happy for a second, I won't be long," I told him, leaving my bathroom door open. I ran the bath, waiting for Isabella to get in.

"Can do," he said, coming in the bathroom and sitting on the closed toilet. He set Kolt down on his legs so that they were both facing Isabella and I. I grabbed the cup I had brought with us, filling it up with water and wetting Isabella's hair.

"So, are we going to talk about this?" Harry asked, bouncing Kolt up and down on this right knee. "I mean, you left really quickly," he looked down at Kolt's head nervously, not wanting to meet my gaze.

"No, I think you misunderstood. There is no us. Not now, not yesterday, not tomorrow. You said so yourself," I said, washing Isabella's hair.

"I didn't say I didn't want us to happen, and I definitely never said never. I said not right now," he said, finally meeting my gaze. His eyes showed a mixture of sadness and frustrating.

"Yea, I know exactly what you said. And I'm also not the type of girl that waits for someone to love her, so I'd rather not give myself false hope," I rinsed her hair out, watching as she tried to follow and understand our conversation. I grabbed the bar of soap Tiffany sent, she said Isabella wouldn't take a bath unless it was there.

"Hayden, I didn't ask you to wait for me," he said, sighing. He patted Kolt's back, and I took the bar of soap from Isabella so I could hurry and give Kolt a bath before he fell asleep.

"You might as well have. Why keep talking to me if you don't even want to give us a chance? Why keep calling and texting if you know that it won't work? It doesn't make this situation any better for me! It's hard to forget about you when you're there ever second I turn around!" I yelled, making Isabella flinch. I let the water out and grabbed a towel, quickly wrapping her in it like a burrito.
