Digging deep trenches within the sand,
No heavy equipment, only hands.
Fighting to survive the scorching heat,
And deadly scorpions walking around their feet.
They've been digging for days, not a drip of water was seen,
Sweat evaporated from their heads in the form of steam.
Their tongues were cracked, it seems all was in vain,
Suddenly an eruption from below, a geyser sprouted like rain.
They drank and laughed, danced in delight,
As an oasis was formed from such a treacherous flight.~Tremar Ivey~
