You and I, Miles Apart.

Note: This is a poem about a star, in love with a teardrop. My friends and I came up with random topics to write poems about, and this is one of them :)

I was the sky, you were the meadow.

You were a carrier of fleeting emotions,

I was a child of million demolitions.

You were an ocean of serendipity to behold,

I was a flicker of fated tragedy to uphold.

I was the star that led millions to their paradise's way,

You were the teardrop that fell when they went astray.

I wonder, how would I seem to you?

A sparkle sprinkled in the twilight sky anew,

Or a trinket of despair, a destiny for a mere few?

Because in my heart, all I would ever remain to be,

Is a spirit caught between the claws of unending misery.
