"Nabi. Wake up" She heard her mother's voice yelling from downstairs "You're going to be late to school"

"Yeah. Okay" She mumbled in her sleep. "Give me 5 minutes"

As she heard her mom's footsteps coming up the stairs, she knew she for in for a beating. She woke up at the speed of light and rushed towards the bathroom.

She got dressed in her school uniform and came down for breakfast.

"Good morning, Dad"
"Good morning, Sweetheart" He kissed her forehead.
"Good morning, Bina" Her younger brother, Minsoo said. He called her Bina as it was Nabi, but interchanged.

"Good morning, you brat" Nabi answered her brother.

She walked into school and found her friends- Chaeyoung, Sunjoo, Jaemin and Mark sitting under an oak tree.

"Whats up?" She said walking towards them and they all responded.

Nabi sat in her first class bored out of her mind. Math. She hated math. 'Who likes math? People who like math must be psychopaths.' She thought to herself.
She never understood why she had to learn The Pythagoras Theorem. 'Why would she even use It? Where would she use it? The supermarket?' she internally chuckled at the thought of using the Pythagoras theorem at the supermarket.

"OK class" Her teacher started "We have a new student joining us today. He's from Jeju Island He's a bit late today but that's alright"

As he walked up into the class, Nabi felt her stomach churn. It had been two years since she last saw him in Jeju, before she moved to Seoul

"Hi everyone, I'm Lee Donghyuck. I'll be your new classmate from today"

As everyone clapped, Nabi and Donghyuck locked eyes with each other.

"Mr. Lee, You can sit next to Mr. Park"

The next period, Nabi had P. E.  She couldn't concentrate as the only thing she could think about was Donghyuck.

"Ouch" she cried out when the ball hit her.

"Pay attention, Ms. Baek" the teacher scolded

"Sorry Sir"

They continued playing and had eventually had a water break.

"Hi Nabi"

"Oh, hey Jeno"

"Meet my friend, Donghyuck" Jeno said.

"Hi"

"Hi"

Jeno could sense that something was up with these two, "OK, I'll be on the court if you need me" he said and left.

"So-"

"It's alright Donghyuck. We don't need to pretend to be best friends." She scoffed and walked away from him.

Donghyuck sat with her and her friends for lunch almost everyday. She was happy that he making friends.

"Nabi, Do you and Donghyuck know each other?" Mark asked. She furrowed her eyebrows, taking a bite of her hotdog. "I asked because both of you are from Jeju"
