Chapter 12

After Asano had come back
The Now 8 Member group started to head off into the direction Light was telling them. "Where exactly are we going?" Asked Matt, trying to get his game working again.

"Well, since Genius over here," Light gestures to L, "thinks I can fix the solution to the world's problems." L merely glares at him and keeps walking. "You're following me."

"Yeah, why do we need him L?" Mello asks. Near Glances In-between L and Light Already having a right answer as to why. "He's just going to Cause Trouble for us," Mello continues.
"Probably for a good reason as to why he's with us Mells," Matt says beside Mello.

"Wait... How would you be able to fix the virus?" Asano says beside Karma from Behind the group, and they all stop and turn around looking at the both of them. "What?" Karma says, Glancing at all of them.

"How... did you-" Mello says getting Interrupted "We aren't stupid" Karma says rolling his eyes "We already figured out that those two" Karma Points at L and Light "are already acquainted with one another..."

"Probably knew each other more than you Three," Asano says, moving his bangs out of his face. "If I may ask..., what school do you boys attend to?" Watari Kindly Asks smiling at them softly,"Kunugigaoka" Karma and Asano both say simultaneously. "That's a Prestigest school." Light brakes his own silent treatment. "You know that school Light?" L asks, finding interest. "Back to Light now?" Light lets out a small laugh,"and of course I do."

"Yeah, And I Out rank Asano," Karma Smirks. "Oh, shut it, you Scrawny string bean." Asano hits Karma on the backside of his head. Karma lets out a yelp. "So, rude! Can't Take it being Second place?" Karma laughs.

"You kids are competitive," Watari states, smiling softly at them.
"Yeah, the only problem is that his father is the principal, so that sucks," Karma says, looking up at the sky. "Your Father is your principal?" Mello Asks
"Yep... but who cares about that now..." "Yeah aren't we supposed to get going?" Karma asks.

The group continues walking to their unknown destination.

"Yes, but you two brats stopped us, so it's wasting our time."
Light says out of pure boredom. Karma and Asano glare at him secretly sending Death threats. "You haven't even said where we were going!" Mello yells out while Near covers his ears, hence being next to Him.  Light sighs, "If you really must know... we are going to that abandoned building you guys caught me at."

"But there's nothing there." Matt says Now looking up from his hand-held game. "
L stops walking and looks over to Light to see him unpleasantly smiling. "Of course, there is..." L Mumbles as he continues walking now behind Light staring at his backside. "Didn't you get rid of any evidence?" Near asks. "Well, obviously... But not all of it. " Light grins.

one hour, 47 minutes, 20 seconds later

"And we have arrived at our destination," Light says, turning around to look at them. "Wow.. this is where you made drugs? Looks like a Yakuza Kinda thing, " Karma says, looking up and down at the abandoned and deserted building."I prefer if you didn't call it "drugs," and good thing it isn't... I probably would have been dead if I were in the Yakuza. Why should I follow someone around like a dog?" Light Rolls his eyes at the thought and faces Watari."Now, unlock these, Cuffs."

"You know I can not do that," Watari says. "And I wouldn't otherwise."

"Not a chance, Light," L says, standing in front of him. "Then I won't help you." "Who said we even needed your help?" Mello looks at him. "Well... you see, let me tell you something. " Light Grins unpleasantly bends down to Mello's level, staring into his eyes. "This virus that's going around." Light puts a hand on his shoulder "was made with the leftovers of my drug I created, and I'm partially the only one... who can make a vaccine. " Light smirks at the surprised look in his eyes.

"So, you need me more than anything... whether you like it or -" Watari interrupts him by grabbing his wrist tightly that's connected to the hand on Mello's shoulder.

a few seconds go by of pure silence and tension between the group.

"To be honest. I'm still stuck on the whole Murder thing." Asano says, breaking the whole tension in the air. "That's sad."
"Shit Happens man" Karma says, and they both nod their head at each other.

"Watari." L says, "Sorry sir. " Watari, let's go of Light's wrist."But if Light touches one of these kids, I will not hesitate."
Watari says, pulling Mello away from light. "That is fine with me," L says, sighing.

"Don't even bother. I have no interest in your so-called successors." Light waves off his hand and starts to walk inside the rundown abandoned warehouse. The others follow right behind him. "Watch your step. We wouldn't want any accidents." Light says, looking back at them. 

Light walks into a room, everything looking exactly the same throughout the place. Rust, mold, and the smell of burning ash. "Gross.. the stench in this place.." Asano says, holding a hand over his nose with Disgust shown on his face. "Agreed.. How can you work in a place like this?" Karma says doing the same thing as Asano.

"I would also like to know Light-kun because someone like you would never even step foot into a place like this. L says  Glancing over to Light with his hands in his pockets, slouched over.

Light sighs. "I got used to it eventually, and most of the time, I wore a mask." He looks around the room and then points up at the corner of the ceiling."There.." Light then turns around facing them and holds up His cuffed wrists. L looks over to Light, then glances over to Watari and nods his head to him. Watari does the same and simply walks past Light and over to the area he pointed to.

Light rolls his eyes and puts his arms down, and turns around to look at Watari.

Watari moves the half burned desk out of the way and moves a crate in its place and steps onto it and reaches up to the ceiling, and pushes up against it to feel it loose. He moves it off to the side and grabs a small box that is put off to the side.

Watari grabs ahold of the box into his hands and steps down from the crate. L walks over to Him and takes the box from him, and hesitates a bit.

"Well.. Go on, don't be shy. I didn't put any crimson colored eyes in there." Light says with a grin. L glares at him and shifts his weight onto one foot, and opens the lid of the box.

"A Notebook?.."
