CHAPTER 3: THE HIT GIRL

"This is a chapter of the mother and father of Raya also known as the indestructible sword and shield . Raya's mothers name is Iris and her fathers name is Alexander."

Iris POV

Ever since I can remember I have always been slow with learning and my training , because of this I have been pressured a lot by my parents and my clan , as I was supposed to be the queen one day.
I could never live up to their expectations but I always tried my hardest to impress them. One day my clan was under attack and my parents said I should take all of my 5 siblings and go hide as it was to dangerous to be outside. We heard a noise outside of where we were hiding and hoped that it will be our parents but to our disappointment it was the enemy. They came and grabbed my youngest sibling asking if they have it. We were all terrified and I tried my best to protect my siblings but I couldn't and that is the moment I regretted all the things I have done. WHY didn't I work harder ? WHY didn't I push myself to be stronger ? Right then my youngest sister said "Are these people gonna kill us now." I couldn't stop the tears from running down. I couldn't stop myself from screaming. I couldn't stop regretting all of those days I could have pushed myself but didn't. I was the only one tied up to watch all of my precious siblings get tortured and die before my eyes. My second eldest sister   covered with bruises and blood said "Why won't you come and save us,did you hate us that much big sis." I started screaming to myself WHY!!!!! As they were about to take me next I didn't resist as I thought this is the punishment I deserve for not being able to do anything to protect my younger siblings. They dragged me to the chair and as I was being tied up, I saw a shadow and they rushed in with a sword.

I looked up and to my surprise it  was my father who had blood everywhere, on his clothes,on his face and even on his sword. He saw my siblings lying dead on the floor and I could see his eyes started tearing up. He killed everyone in the room and untied me. He asked me what had happened and I told him the truth,that I was too weak to help and protect anyone. He lifted me up and smacked my face saying I only wanted to protect myself and that I was a burden to the clan. After hearing such words from my father I ran away and broke down while escaping. I always knew that was the truth but to hear that from my father took it to a whole new level. I was encountered with a man using a shield and he attacked me,but I was in such a state of anger that I dodged him,took out my knife and stabbed him. Even after he was on the ground I just kept on stabbing him to let out my anger and feelings towards myself. I realized that I eventually killed him and I just couldn't take it anymore. I was a murderer I killed that man and my family. I had no will to live anymore. I thought what is the point of living if you are a burden to everyone.

I was on the verge of death when a elderly man came to me and gave me some bread. He said to me "What are you doing here all alone ,it is dangerous." I told him that my family is dead and that I have no will to live anymore. He told me" The moment you are ready to quit is the moment a miracle happens." He got up, left me some food and continued walking. It took some time for the words he told me to sink in but it eventually did. I took the shield I was using to protect myself from enemies and actually taught myself how to fight with it.

5 years later

Strangers POV

I am going to run out of breath soon. My legs feel like they are gonna fall off. (Running) This girl is so fast and agile. She is gonna catch up. I stopped for a break and I looked behind and she was nowhere to be found. Maybe I lost her. I sat down holding my chest as I am out of breath. "Did you really think you lost me" said Iris.
I got up hastily and in shock but I was too slow she stabbed me with a weird weapon. It looked like a shield but was very sharp at the edge. "You have to be faster than that to try and escape me " said Iris. I fell down in a pool of blood. At least I died by the weapon of a pretty girl.

Iris POV

Another fire guard dead,I wonder if I can kill them all. I sat down to eat my bread. I heard sticks creaking and picked up my shield.
I shouted Who goes there. A man came out with his hands up in the air.
