As soon my legs passed through the Sano's residence front gate, I found my entire body completely giving up on me, all the adrenaline I felt from before left me in an instant, causing me to collapse to the ground with a loud thud sound. In a matter of seconds, I caught Grandpa running to my side.
"What happened? Why aren't you in school Mikey?" I looked up to meet up his gaze, and although his voice sounded annoyed because I was caught skipping school, his eyes displayed nothing but worry for my well-being. So once we establish eye contact, I could feel a flood of hot tears, streaming down my face like a waterfall.
"Your grandson is a total nightmare!" I let out in anger.
"He's the worst!" I continued, crying even harder than before. I must have confused the old man further with what probably he proceeded as nonsense, but I hardly cared. I just wanted to get it off my chest, whether he believed me or not was a secondary concern.
I kept bawling my eyes out for what felt like a solid five minutes until I heard Grandpa Sano clearing his throat catching my attention, which was followed by this genius idea.
"How about you get off the ground, wipe away your tears and we go together and buy some ice cream before the next flood of students arrives? Does it sounds good?" I looked at him and silently nodded my head. I wiped away the tears with my sleeve and then whipped out a handkerchief and blew my nose into it.
"Then let me go get Kappa!" It was the perfect opportunity to score a walk on top of it all because knowing my personality I could already picture myself not taking another step outside once I returned from this peculiar adventure.
When I came running with my dog, we hit the road and hit the nearest convenience store, after choosing two delicious frozen desserts, we walked around the neighborhood for another fifteen minutes, before we made our way back to the house. And as I predicted once we returned, I decided to hide inside my room, jumped under the blanket, and refused to move, even for food.
As it turned out, Draken came running to the Sano residence once school finished. I heard him converse with Grandpa before he visited my room.
"Why are you hiding under there? Come out, you can't seriously believe you can stay there for eternity."
"Freaking watch me, I will spend the rest of my life under this very blanket." He tried to pull on it, but I held on tight.
"Come on, just tell me what happened for me to witness you scaling the school gate like a crazy person." Wait perhaps it would be of benefit to me, to ask him a favor.
"Sure I can share the tale, but only if you take Kappa on a walk... pretty please." I heard his sight, but ultimately he agreed. Once I heard the door close I finally took a peek outside my protective barrier. By now I could tell something was wrong with my neck, and taking into consideration today's events it wasn't that surprising. So I carefully inched closer to the mirror, only to witness marks left by Mikey's hands in full display, purple in color.
