Being in their own world of happiness, everyone forgot about Dr. Mahajan who was standing still without any expressions on his face. It looked as if he's completely shook by Ranjeet's statement. He took some time to process Ranjeet's words and came out of the trance and glared at Ranjeet with wide eyes and flaring nostrils.

Ranjeet (hopefully) - Dr. Sahab, kaha kho gaye? Banegi na Monami humare ghar ki chhoti bahu??

Ranjeet's question seemed delighting to all except Dr. Deepak Mahajan. Dr. Mahajan took a few minutes to process what just happened right now. Just a few hours ago, he got to witness a whole new side of Karan, just a few minutes ago his daughter revealed that she loves the man whom he hates the most and now...one of his patients who is Karan's father as well, is asking his daughter's hand for his son. It felt as if the commando who has just got out of coma, dropped a bomb through his question on Dr. Mahajan. Everything happened so swiftly that it was difficult for Dr. Mahajan to process.

Ranjeet was about to say something when Dr. Mahajan interrupted him.

Dr. Mahajan (angrily) - What nonsense?! Ye koi mazaak chal raha hai yaha?

Sid (stunned) - UncleG, aap ye..ye kya keh rahe hain?

Not just Sid, but everyone was surprised by Dr. Mahajan's tone. Dr. Mahajan's tone was much harsh than ever before. He's a composed man who gets angry very rarely. His nose could be seen turning slight red in anger. Not paying any heed to Sid's question & ignoring his daughter's scared face, Dr. Mahajan took a few rageous steps towards Ranjeet and sarcastically joined his hands in front of him making the Shergills offended.

Dr. Mahajan (gritting his teeth) - Maaf kijiyega Mr. Shergill, magar main apni beti ka haath aapke bete ke saath mein to kabhi nahi dunga! Mujhe beti ghar par kuwari bithana manzoor hai lekin ek fauji se shaadi karvana nahi!

Few cruel words of Dr. Mahajan and Monami's heart broke into zillion pieces. All dreams of Karan & Monami came down crashing in a second listening to what Deepak said. A small world of their own, a happy family and a beautiful future together...that's what they only desired for, but this didn't go right with Dr. Mahajan. Definitely Deepak's insult towards commandos and the way he spoke to Ranjeet irked and angered the rest who were standing there, but they kept mum as its MoRan & Deepak's thing right now & their interference might make it more difficult.

Without caring about anyone's reaction or even respecting the person whom he's talking to, he turned furiously towards Monami. His words were enough to bring bitter tears to Monami's eyes. She knew the amount of hatred her father had for commandos, especially Karan. But somewhere in her heart, she still had ignited the hope that her father might accept Karan for her happiness. But the way Deepak behaved with Ranjeet was completely unexpected for everyone.

Tears were constantly streaming down Monami's cheek, and she was trying to control her hiccups in order to not to breakdown in the hospital itself. One tear from Monami's eye and a sting of pain occurred in Karan's heart. He shuts his eyes tightly in order to not to burst out on Dr. Mahajan as he's well aware that it'd only worsen the things. He took a few deep breaths and calmed down himself.

Monami (shocked) - Pa..papa, aap ye k..kya keh rahe hain?

Dr. Mahajan - Monami, I don't want to create any scene here. (Sarcastically) Our patients are all fine and can be discharged. Tum ghar chalo mere saath!

Dr. Mahajan held Monami's wrist and moved forward but Monami didn't budge from her place. Deepak turned back only to find Monami standing straight with a poker yet determined face. Her aura itself reflected how changed and determined she is.

Dr. Mahajan - Monami, I won't repeat. GHAR CHALO!

Monami thought that if she didn't take a stand for herself and her love now, then she won't be able to take any stand ever.
