The Good in the Bad

     When they have arrived to work, their boss walked up to them and said with a worried grin," So, unfortunately Lexi will not be in today, but I have called in someone else to help, he should be here soon. He is running a little late." Scarlett smiled and said concerned," What happened to Lexi? Is she sick?"

Harley replied unphased," I would think so, when she called the store she sounded really bad. Must be a stomach bug going around." Scarlett looked at Izzy and said," Okay, so this should be fun..." Harley's phone then rung and she said," I am sorry, I have to take this. Have a good shift girls." Scarlett then walked out on the floor and took over the sandwich counter while Izzy started the afternoon cleaning. After ten minutes have gone by Izzy looked at Scarlett and said," Where the hell is that person who was covering Lexi?" That's when a deep voice comes from the back," I am right here." That's when Zach walked in and continued," And words cannot express how excited I am to be working with you Scarlett." Scarlett's face flushed with red as she tried to hide a smile, Izzy who was behind him looked at her and started silently freaking out. Zach then walked up to Scarlett and asked," What would you like me to do boss?" 

Scarlett asked curiously," Boss?" Zach nodded, then replied," Yep, you and Izzy are the shift supervisors." Scarlett looked at Izzy and pointed to the celling lights. Scarlett smiled and said cheeky," Is there any chance I could get you to grab a ladder and clean the celling lights?" Zach smiled and replied," Because I am your only tall one on the floor or because you wanna see a good view?" 

Scarlett gave a flirtatious smile and said," Both." He then went off to do his job. After a few hours of asking him to do things, there was barely anything to do. At this point of time there was about an hour before they had to close up the store, and this was also the time Zach's shift was over as well. "Okay, it looks like your time is up Zach." Says Scarlett. Izzy looked at me and Zach and said awkwardly but just barely holding a laugh," I think I am doing to go and wash up some last minute dishes, you two can say goodbye." Scarlett then looks at Zach and says," Okay, well have a good night." They shook hands, but it slowly turned into a hand holding. After a few seconds of them staring into each other's eyes Zach asked," If you want I can stay here and leave with you just in case you get into trouble with anyone, a lot of people tend to go missing around this time." Scarlett let go of his hand as her eyebrows narrow and asked," What do you mean by that?" 

Zach replied," This town has gone downhill from the last you were here, a lot of people have been going missing lately. Don't you see it in the paper?" Scarlett looked worried and said," No I haven't..." Zach looked at her and replied," Yea, it is crazy." Scarlett looked to the floor and then back at him and said," No I think I am good, Izzy usually gives me a ride home." Zach looked at Izzy with a smirk and said weirdly," That's nice, it's good to have a good friend circle. Okay, well I will see you tomorrow at Jane's pool party?" Looked shocked and said surprised," You want us at her party?" 

Zach replied with a smile," Yea, I would love to see you guys there." 

Scarlett replied calmly," I may or may not be able to, but I can try." Zach smiled, and then said," Great. I look forward to seeing you there." He then walked out the door looking back at Scarlett, with a great big smile. After the shop was closed Izzy and Scarlett started to freak out, until the small realization walked into their mind. Izzy then froze and said in shock," I think we need to go shopping for new bathing suits." Scarlett giggled and said excited," Tomorrow we can go out and get some." They then begun to close the store; locked the front doors, shut down all the machines, and then left through the backdoor to shut and lock that door as well. They then parted was and started to head home, Scarlett and Izzy started to walk home. 

     The next morning Scarlett woke up in the middle of the night to a noise outside her bedroom window, it was as if someone was calling her name. She was so confused and yet so intrigued at the same time, she felt as if something was luring her to the window. As she got to the window she seen three people in all black, and a black truck waiting for them. After a few moments, the tallest dark figure pointed to Scarlett then towards her front door, enough for her to know that they wanted her. She ran back to her bed and pretended to be asleep, after a few minutes have passed she looked again and they were gone. After a few minutes of complete and udder worry and confusion, she fell back asleep. When she woke up the next morning she had a text from both Harper and Izzy. "Heyyy, we will be there in 10 minutes, be ready. We're going bathing suit shopping..." Scarlett scrambled into some jeans and an regular old black t-shirt with white seams, by the time she was ready they were at the door. "Bye mom, I'll be back later!" Scarlett called out. 

"Are we ready to get this party started? No pun intended..." Said Harper. 

Scarlett replied worried," Are you sure we should be going to this party?" Izzy narrowed her eyebrows and said," Yes I do, he likes you, you like him...am I missing anything important here?" Scarlett laughed but Harper cut in," You need a life, stop worrying about us and start living your best life." Scarlett rolled her eyes and said with a smile," Fine, let's go." After stopping in at a few stores Harper and Izzy have finally found their favorite ones. Harper bought a two piece high waisted bathing suit in the color teal blue and had flowers. Izzy bought a pink swimsuit with palm trees draped over her shoulder. Scarlett just could not find one that she liked, no matter how many she tried. Until, she decided to try one on that the store clerk suggested. She had an all black double wrap strap cami bra and hipster bottom and layered beach skirt, it came in three pieces. In this bathing suit, she looked so amazing and her confidence only made it easier to pull off. When she stepped out of the changing room Izzy and Harper's jaw dropped," Oh my god, that makes you look so amazing!" Said Izzy. "Wow!" Said Harper. Even the store clerk looked at her and said," You are going to a pool party tonight right?" 

Scarlett replied," Yes, why?" 

She replied," I think you are going to make the host jealous." Scarlett and the girls started to completely freak out, they were so excited and ready to hit the pool. 

     After a few hours past, it was time to start getting ready. So they all put on their amazing bathing suits and started to walk over to Jane's house, Scarlett looked like she was ready for the runway; not even water could wreck her look. When they got to the house, there was a sign leading them to the backyard. It was a huge backyard. It had a huge pool, a place for a DJ, and it even had a place for people to get drinks. When they walked in, they had all the eyes on them; especially Zach, Jane, and Cooper. Once Scarlett walked in Zach completely changed his attention to her, it was like no one else was in the room. He then muttered something to Jane and she smiled, it was like something was planned but Scarlett couldn't figure it out.
