The Unknown

     After a few minutes of driving, the truck came to a sudden stop. She peaked out and seen she was at a crossroads in a beautiful looking forest the didn't look like regular forests. The trees were a mix of blue and purple, and it looked like there was stars floating right in front of her. She was amazed...She then started to slowly crawl out of the trunk and jumped off the back of the truck right before they started to drive again, and when she finally jumped off she landed on her feet and booked it behind this giant willow tree. The truck kept going as if they didn't see her, she then took a few deep breaths and began to felt safe again. When she turned around she saw the star like floating lights getting closer, she felt oddly calm and not scared at all. They began to land on her as she started to glow, and as she glowed she would notice her hair, clothes and even her body changing. When she finished glowing she looked completely different...Her eyes were bright baby blue, she ears were pointed but yet sticking a tiny bit out of her dark green pants and tank top made out of grass; and her hair was out of the ponytail and in a long blonde french braid. She was amazed. She felt strong, confident, and good. When she was with Zach, she was angry and her eyes were always red...but now they are bright baby blue. She then heard a ruses in the bushes and dropped as low as she could, that's when a tall girl who looked almost like her slowly walked to her and sat down in front of her. Scarlett backed away a little bit and asked cautiously," Who are you?" She then tapped the ground as if she was asking her to sit. Scarlett looked concerned and slowly sat down, but yet she was still backed in a corner. "Who are you?" She asked again less aggravated. 

"I am Cara Mystique. Me and my family live in this woods. We mean you no harm, we have been where you are, we only want to help..." Scarlett looked around in panic and then back at Cara and asked," We? What do you mean by we?" That's when her family popped out all around her, she jumped and tried to hit her brother by accident. But, when Scarlett swung, he grabbed her hand and swung her into him as he was holding her arms against her chest and she was backed up into him. Cara gave a giggle and said," We can teach you to fight as well, you fight like a human..." Scarlett looked confused and then head butted her brother, he let go immediately and as she was let go she stuttered," I am human..." Her parents gasped and asked," What do you mean?" 

Scarlett replied," I was turned into this by someone I thought I liked..." He then gave a sigh of pity and said," I knew it, Zach is up to it again." Scarlett looked shocked and asked," You know Zach?" He gave a sad face and said," My son and mt daughter was once this best friends...and it did not go well for my family. After we were changed, we fled here and we made a new life out here." Scarlett slowly put her hands down and out of a defensive stance.

"I am Chad Mystique, and this is my family." He then pointed to everyone and spoke," This is my wife Miranda Mystique and my son Ben Mystique, and you've obviously met my daughter Cara Mystique." Scarlett looked around in amazement and said," It is very nice to meet you, I am sorry for hitting you Ben." He laughed and said," That's fine, but I had you where I wanted you no problem though." Scarlett's face went red and flushed and then remembered," How do I go back to my human form then?" 

     Scarlett looked at her hands and replied," Yes, but I have no clue how to turn back..." Ben grabbed her hands and said," Don't look at your hands, look at me." HIs eyes began to look more human, and soon enough he looked completely human again. "How did you do that?" Scarlett asked amazed. Ben put his finger at the bottom of her chin and said in a calming voice," Close your eyes, feel my fingers touching yours...you are in complete control." She then started change back, she then smiled and said," I feel in control, and I think it's working." Ben smiled and replied happily," It is...and may I say you look even prettier in human form." She then opened her eyes to the surprise of not only her in her human form, but the Mystique's were in their human form as well. When Scarlett opened her eyes she gave out a tiny little shriek.

"What's wrong?" Cara asked. Scarlett gave a giggle as she looked down and said," Nothing. Sorry, I-I just think that your all beautiful..." That's when Ben suddenly got a sharp pain as his eyes went dark blue, Scarlett looked worried as he held tight onto her hands. "What's going on?" Scarlett asked in a panic. 

"Something is happening, and it has to do with you..." Chad replied as he was bent down to help Ben. "Zach...Cooper...Jane....Guards...coming..." His eyes then stopped glowing, Chad looked at his wife Miranda and said," Get then to the door now..." Ben pick up Scarlett by her waist and put her over his shoulder, grabbed Cara's hand and started running with his mother. "Hey, put me down Ben! Where are we going?" Scarlett asked in a slight scream. 

"Shh, they will hear you and they are here for you..." Ben replied in a panic. In that moment Ben and Miranda stopped running and a the tree trunk opened up, Scarlett seen a slide going down. "Go now, you'll be safe..." Miranda said in a hysteric panic. 

"Where does that lead?" Scarlett asked frightened. 

"No time, just slide please." Miranda asked desperately. "We don't have time for this..." Said Ben as he pulled Scarlett into his lap and started to slide down the tree trunk. When they got to the bottom, Cara was not coming down. "Car-" Scarlett got stopped by Ben's hand over his mouth. He then looked at her in the eyes and put his one finger over his mouth enough to tell her to be quiet. "We need to be quiet, or they will find us." Ben said whispering. 

"What about your family?" Scarlett asked in complete and utter panic. "They should be fine, but I was taught not to keep going even if they didn't. We will meet again." Ben then heard a noise from above. "Look everywhere, I want Scarlett and whoever is hiding her will join us whether they want to or not!" Zach screamed in anger. Ben then pointed at the bed and said softly," Get under, they are going to find it." Scarlett gave a shocked face and said," Under the bed? Really? You wanna hide under the bed?" Ben then heard the door open and pushed her under and said quickly," Do not get out for anything..." That's when Cooper and Jane came in and grabbed Ben immediately. "Get off of me!" Ben screamed. Zach then came down and asked with a huge smile and said," Now, where is my girl?" 

"What girl?" Ben asked acting as if he didn't know. He then starts to walk around the room looking at everything he passes by," You know, I think differently...especially since her and I have done half the connection ceremony..." He then looks back at Ben and continues," I am sure you know what that is, seeing as you are connected to Jane and that is how she seen her in your arms at one point." Ben then got more angry and said," Get out of my head." 

"As you were holding her hands..." Zach continues. "Shut up." Ben replied.

"As you were holding her on your shoulders..." Zach said getting closer to the bed. Ben then started getting more and more worried as he tried more and more to escape Cooper and Jane. "She especially seen when she did not in fact leave, but...hid her under the bed..." Zach then dropped to a crouch and grabbed Scarlett's feet, then started to pull her out from under the bed. When she was completely out, he rolled her over and pinned her down to the ground as he was sitting on top of her. "There you are..." Zach said with a huge smile. He then grabbed a cloth of his pocket and pushed it against her mouth and nose. Right before it got to her nose Scarlett out a small scream," No, no, no. Please Zach no..." She then started to jerk around, wiggled and even tried to push him off...but she could not. That's when the cloth finally got to her mouth as you heard the muffled sounds of her voice," Please, get off. I don't wanna go back..." That's when she slowly fell closer and closer to unconsciousness, until Zach stopped and stroked her cheek with the back of her hand. "Now you weak enough that you can't run and it is an easy grab if you do run." That's when Zach walked up to Ben and injected him with a needle. "There, now you will be with us...and your family." Ben then looked Scarlett in the eye as his eyes started glowing the same as Jane's.
