After we returned home, I took a seat on the leather couch and Chloe was on the phone with Emma for awhile. I was still in distraught after the therapy session from earlier; and allowing another person to see my emotions pouring out made me feel somewhat awkward.
However, I was ready to begin planning out our wedding together once Chloe was off the phone with Emma. We already had a wedding planner and a photographer planned out; and we were more than ready to prepare for the big day.
I glanced over at Chloe from afar and I couldn't wait to see this woman walking down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face. I couldn't wait to see this woman become Mrs. Anoa'i in the near future. I was ecstatic at the thought of it.
After a a few minutes passed, Chloe was done talking to Emma on the phone and I looked at her with a smile on my face.
"Hey babe." I said, "Are you ready to start planning for the wedding? I hope that it's not too soon after everything we've been through lately.""Of course! I feel like this would be a perfect time to help us get our mind off of the whole situation."
"Then it's settled." I flashed a smile, "Anything for you."
We spent the entire night planning out our wedding and I couldn't wait.
A few weeks laterAfter a few weeks have came and went, Chloe and I met with the wedding planner and photographer. Everything was coming out perfect as we had almost everything prepared for the wedding. What we were unsure of was the date and when we wanted to get married. For me? I wanted to be married sooner than later.
When it came to Chloe's mental health after everything that's happened with the miscarriage and the drama with our two ex-lovers, she was doing much better than before. Therapy seemed to help her a lot in the meantime. We went out to eat, spent quality time together and focused on our future together.
While we made our way to the restaurant one evening, Chloe's phone began to ring and it was none other than Emma.
"Hey girl!"
"Hey! How are you and Roman...I mean Joe."
I laughed, "If you wanna call me Roman, it's all good Emma. I don't mind at all."
"Okay, because I'm still used to seeing you as Roman Reigns instead of Joe." She cleared her throat, "But anyways. Chloe, did you two ever set a date for the wedding?"
"Not yet." She replied, "We're still debating on that. However, we have the place and theme already planned out; we even hired a photographer and a planner so everything's coming out as planned."
"I'm so happy for you two. You both have been through so much and it's time for you both to finally be happy together!"
"We appreciate it, girl." She says with a smile, "Do you wanna hang out with us soon?"
"I'd love to! Also, I'd like to bring my date with me."
"Sounds good." I said, "Where would you two wanna go? We could do a double-date at a nearby restaurant."
"Maybe we could visit one of the fanciest Toronto restaurants." Emma says.
"That'll work. When do you want to have the double-date? We can do it possibly tomorrow night before I have to head back to work."
"Definitely! You and Chloe can..."
"Emma? Hold up, you finally have a boyfriend?" Chloe asked with excitement in her tone of voice.
"Yeah! You'll be surprised when you find out who it is."
"It's Chandler, huh? Your old high school crush?" She teased.
