Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Great Hall, 31st Oct 1978

This morning started out as any other at Hogwarts would, although, it was also a special event today. As of midnight, the Samhain (or Halloween as the muggles call it) countdown had already begun and students were dismissed from classes at around mid-day, therefore, they had the afternoon and evening off. Over at the Gryffindor table sat four friends, infamously known to all of Hogwarts as the Marauders. James Potter, a boy with striking sapphire blue eyes which, he hid behind his round thin rimmed glasses and messy jet-black coloured hair, was known as Prongs to his friends. Sirius Black, a boy with dashing looks, bearing shoulder length obsidian coloured locks and captivating sterling grey eyes, to his friends he was known as Padfoot. Next, we've got Remus Lupin, a boy with sandy blonde hair and enchanting chocolate brown eyes, he was known as Mooney to his friends. And lastly, Peter Pettigrew, a boy with chestnut coloured hair and beautiful periwinkle-grey eyes, to his friends, he was known as Wormtail.

While three of the Gryffindor friends planned their next prank, James was staring into space before he snapped out of it and whispered to his friends. A bright light that appeared out of nowhere nearby the Hogwarts faculty table made whispers and murmurs break out inside the hall like an uncontrolled Fiendfyre spell. Minerva McGonagall, the deputy headmistress of Hogwarts, picked up the letter after the light diminished and sent a halfhearted glare towards the marauders who looked just as baffled before she began to examine it, mumbling spells under her breath. Once sure it wasn't cursed, she opened the letter carefully and stood up from her seat next to Albus Dumbledore, the Hogwarts headmaster as she walked over to the podium and placed the letter down, beginning to read it aloud as she projected her voice without using a Sonorus charm.

Dear students and teachers of the past

There was a second war about five years ago and many allies as well as friends were lost. The Dark Lord (Voldemort) was defeated in that as well, but that's not our point. Our point is that after you've finished reading this letter, Min-Min, we will be sending some of our memories in the form of movies (a muggle form of entertainment) and you will be required to watch them. We will be joining you sometime soon after you're about halfway through the first movie. We hope you enjoy the rest of your Samhain (Halloween) evening and don't fret miss Evans, all classes will be put on hold meaning time outside the hall will stop after this letter has been read. Your's always, the next future generation.

True to the written words of the letter, as soon as Minerva set the letter down, a stack of films appeared along with a double-sided projector screen and an old fashioned projector that was still in rather excellent shape. The house tables and benches had been turned into couches and armchairs with round coffee tables bearing snacks and drinks every two meters (6.5 feet). As Minerva retreated back to her seat, Lily and a few other muggle-born students helped to properly set up the projector and insert the first movie reel into it. They walked back to their seats after the hall had darkened and got comfortable, some grabbing a few snacks, others grabbing something to drink before the projector lit up and the movie started to play.

The first chapter is officially done. I can't wait to start writing the next one. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter, vote and comment if you feel the need to.
